THIRTY-TWO

Anya's Point of View

"Mico? Oh god! It's you. What did they do to you?" I asked him. He looked at me and smiled weakly.

"L-Luna, I'm h-happy to see you," he said and coughed.

"Mico, I'll take you out of here," I said and opened the cell. I'm glad I had the key I found from one of the rooms.

"Where's Marcus?" I told asked him while I helped him up.

"Luna, p-please leave me here," Mico weakly said. "Alpha w-was in the last cell in this place," he added. I nodded and helped her sat on the ground.

"I'll come back for you, Mico," I said.

"Please be s-safe, L-Luna," he said while clutching his stomach. I wiped away my tears and continued walking. Finally, I reached the cell where Mico pointed and was horrified when I saw what's inside.

"M-Marcus?" I call him weakly. My heart clenched at the sight of him. He was chained to the wall, had many wounds on his body, and blood was all over him. His eyes were half-closed like he wasn't breathing.
