FOURTEEN

Marcus' Point of View

"Call Joseph now. We need backup in case some of them decided to show up. I'll be there in a minute and get ready," I ordered my beta. The enemy really doesn't know when to give up. What do they really want from my pack? I gripped Anya's waist tightly and pulled her close to me. I like how close our body together. I inhaled her scent and stroke her hair.

"What's the problem, Marcus?" she worriedly asked. I kissed her forehead and planted a quick peck on her lips.

"Nothing, baby. I'll be back, okay?" I said and put her down on the chair. "Don't leave the packhouse until I'm here," I ordered and mind link the other warriors to guard the packhouse while I was away.

"O-okay," she said and hesitantly smiled. I smiled back at her, kissed her forehead, and left the kitchen. I rushed outside, and my mind links my beta again.

"Location?" I asked.
