MATTEO’s POV
After putting the gun back in my belt, I glanced at my suit and white dress shirt, both stained with blood. Letting out a heavy sigh, I attempted to wipe it off with a white towel. Another sigh escaped me as the stubborn stain remained, and I turned to Carter, who was bound to a chair, his head hanging as blood dripped from him.
“And, I have a date tonight with my lovely wife”. I said and signaled Alonzo to set him free.
“I think I’ve taught him the right amount of lesson. Let him go. He needs to gather as much information on Antonio Rossi”. I said and headed for the mansion. Emerging from the hidden shack nestled in the woods, just a few meters from the lake, I quickened my pace to avoid being caught by Aria. I knew seeing me like this might lead to questions I couldn't answer. I wanted to tell her all about me, but I was too scared of losing her, so I decided to keep it all hidden away from her.
