Looking at the change in expression on my mum's face, I knew there was something wrong, but what exactly, I didn't know. So I went ahead and asked...

My mum sighed and said, "well, my sweetheart, come with me. I have something to show you."

I felt curious, amused, and shocked. I noticed my mum walking towards our store room, which was abandoned, like no one goes there. It struck an awareness in me: is there something I've been missing out on?

Walking step by step towards my mum, on seeing what was in the box, I felt shocked. Then it dawned on me: while I was drawing some designs, my mum would usually give me hints, which had helped me a lot. On seeing the designs in this box, I felt extremely inferior.

But wait, putting the pieces together, I realized: woah, is my mum a fashion designer? I saw series of designs. Looking up to meet my mum's gaze, I had so many questions running through my head.

My mum smiled and said, "well, my sweetheart, yes, I am a fashion designer. I knew that's one of the questions you wanted to ask me. And these are my designs. I learnt it from my grandma. Well, you could say it's hereditary."

She gestured to a small box beside me. "Open that small box beside you, the one on your left."

On noticing the small yet attractive box, I opened it and found a very simple yet exquisite pink necklace and bracelet. While getting mesmerized by how beautiful it looks, my mum's words snapped me out of my thoughts...

"It was given to me by my mum. Well, you could call it your lucky charm, like I called mine. Please make sure you hold it dear to your heart, my sweetheart."
