"I never thought that brat Gojo Satoshi could actually pull it off! How the hell did he manage that?!"
Zenin Ogi and Kamo Kaname didn't wait for Yagyū Saemon, who wasn't aligned with their faction. The two left Tokyo Jujutsu High as fast as if they were fleeing the scene.
Along the way, Ogi kept muttering to himself, blaming Kaname, cursing Satoshi, and trying to convince himself of anything that would make the situation less humiliating.
However, what unsettled him most was that as they returned to the General Directorate, many low-level staff members looked at him with strange expressions.
There was confusion. Contempt. Ridicule.
What the hell is going on?
Zenin Ogi was completely at a loss. This kind of reaction had never happened before.
"You've finally made a name for yourself, haven't you?"
They were stopped head-on by Yagyū Hidetsugu. Before Ogi could speak, he heard Hidetsugu mocking him.
Ogi's face turned pale instantly. And just as Hidetsugu said that, many staff from the General Directorate around them burst out laughing.
Why were these nobodies reacting like this?
Ogi glared at him, demanding an explanation.
But Hidetsugu simply smirked.
Midway through the incident, he had already received a call from Saemon and learned about the second cursed corpse livestream.
Whether this was orchestrated by the school or not, it had been a huge publicity win for Satoshi—and for the Yagyū family.
"Zenin Ogi, I suggest you look into the situation. You've become quite the celebrity in the Jujutsu world."
Hidetsugu laughed, brushed past him, and walked off to report to Yagyū Saemon.
Kamo Kaname, standing nearby, glanced at his own device. The information he'd just received made his face tighten. He turned to Ogi and began quietly explaining what he'd learned about the second livestream.
Thank goodness I didn't say anything stupid in Tokyo Jujutsu High. Otherwise, both I and the Kamo clan would've been disgraced across the entire Jujutsu world.
"What? There was another livestream? And it was broadcast across the entire Jujutsu world?!"
Ogi's face turned red as blood rushed to his head.
"It wasn't public to everyone, but the cursed corpse used was one of the first-generation models. So many clans and institutions requested access from the school. Not everyone got permission, of course... but still..."
Kaname trailed off. Even if not everyone saw it, at least 80% of the Jujutsu world now knew what had occurred in the Treasury.
Thinking about what he had said back there, Zenin Ogi felt his world crumbling.
"Damn the school... damn the Gojo clan... damn Yaga Masamichi... damn Gojo Satoshi!"
Ogi's face turned purple as he muttered curse after curse. Then, with a groan of pain, he clutched his chest.
His vision went dark, and he collapsed completely.
As a senior of the Zenin clan, his humiliating performance in the Treasury had shattered any future he had of becoming the clan head.
His reputation was gone.
"Ogi! Ogi, are you okay?!"
Kaname's panicked voice rang out inside the General Directorate. But none of the staff moved to help. They walked past as if Zenin Ogi and Kamo Kaname didn't even exist.
A strange new current had begun to ripple through the Directorate.
...
At the dormitory of Jujutsu High.
Satoshi had politely refused Shoko's offer to use the Reverse Cursed Technique to treat him.
Although he hadn't yet mastered Reverse Cursed Techniques, he had already grasped the fundamentals.
He activated Kaidō to restore his body, and took the opportunity to observe the internal flow of energy.
This time, combining Reiryoku and Cursed Techniques in battle had not only increased his combat proficiency but had also led him to comprehend several new Kidō spells.
The destruction of Sukuna's finger was the trigger. It hadn't seemed difficult in the moment—but the rewards were unexpectedly significant.
[Host's proficiency has increased. Newly comprehended Kidō: Hadō #63 "Raikōhō" (Thunder Roar Sear), Hadō #73 "Sōren Sōkatsui" (Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down), and Bakudō #81 "Dankū" (Splitting Void).]
The system notification popped up, and Satoshi was momentarily stunned.
After destroying Sukuna's finger, not only had his overall Kidō proficiency increased to 39%, but he had also unlocked two high-tier Hadō spells above #50.
Raikōhō and Sōren Sōkatsui—these two were far more destructive than the Shakkahō or Sōkatsui he had used before.
With this, his offensive toolkit had expanded significantly.
But what surprised him most was not the Hadō.
It was the Bakudō—Dankū.
Bakudō #81. One of the highest-tier binding spells.
Though classified as a binding technique, its actual function was defensive.
According to its definition, Dankū can block any Hadō-level attack under #89.
In other words, unless facing top-tier figures like Satoru, natural-disaster-level Special Grade cursed spirits, or Yuki, very few jujutsu users in the current world could surpass the threshold of #89 Hadō.
If he prepared and recited the full incantation, Dankū would block almost any current technique in the Jujutsu world.
Even a short chant or chantless version would still neutralize most attacks under level 70.
In the original timeline, Dankū was famously used by Aizen Sosuke to show off.
Now that I've gained this technique... it's like I've obtained my own version of an absolute defense.
The gains this time were remarkable.
Looking at his current system panel, Satoshi couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.
The process had nearly drained him dry, but the reward was more than worth it.
Dankū. Among everything he had acquired, this was without a doubt the most satisfying.
