What Now?

The day wasn't over not even close.

Rina stepped out onto the street after the briefing, ready to breathe for a second.

City humming. Engines growling. Neon flickering.

Then commotion.

Shouting. Tires screeching.

Her earpiece crackled.

"Captain disturbance, Sector 5. Man in the street. Aggressive."

Rina exhaled.

"What now?"

She made her way over, boots firm against the pavement.

There he was.

Middle of the road wild-eyed, shirtless, veins bulging like wires under his skin.

Twitching. Sweating. Red tint in his eyes.

Pulse Red? Maybe. Or just another city burnout. Hard to tell these days.

Rina raised a hand, approaching slow.

Voice calm Captain calm.

"Hey—hey, you alright? Let's get you out of the road, yeah? We'll talk."

He blinked at her confused for a second then… snapped.

Fist like a hammer. Straight to her jaw.

Rina staggered back, ears ringing, vision blurred for a second.

Crowd gasped.A man hit a woman ?Wow!

Her body wanted to react Hunterrina's instinct screamed for war.

Power humming under her skin.

But she didn't let it out.

Not here. Not now.

She straightened, jaw tight but her face calm.

Unshaken.

Her hand hovered near her sidearm but didn't reach.

"Okay… not feeling chatty. We'll do this another way."

Backup was closing in, but Rina kept her focus on the man.

Heart steady. Mind sharp. Power caged.

Because Captain Hunter was built for this.

And Hunterrina? She was still watching. Always.
