The ride to Marion's mansion was long but comfortable, the events of last night, long forgotten.
Marion had tried his best to reassure me.
The sleek black car hummed beneath us as we moved through the city.
I sat back against the plush leather seat, gazing out of the tinted window at the world outside. Sweden was… beautiful. I was glad that I got to see it in real life and not behind screens.
Marion sat beside me, his demeanor as calm as ever.
He had barely said much since the party, but his presence alone was reassuring.
"You'll love the mansion," he finally said, breaking the silence. "It's peaceful, far away from the noise of the city, but still close enough to everything you might need."
I turned to him, offering a small smile. "You didn't have to do all this for me, Marion. You've already done so much."
He simply waved off my words. "Nonsense. You're under my care now. And besides, I enjoy the company."
