I was sitting on the edge of the sofa in the living room when I noticed it, the sudden, sharp gasp from Marion.
One moment, we were quietly discussing the events of the day, and the next, he clutched his chest, his eyes widening in shock. His face contorted in pain as he let out a bloodcurdling scream.
In that instant, the world around me seemed to shatter into fragments of panic and disbelief.
"Marion!" I cried out, leaping from the sofa. My heart pounded as I rushed to his side, my hands shaking. He was doubled over now, every muscle taut with agony, and his eyes flickered with both pain and terror.
"Belinda!" I shouted, voice cracking with desperation. "Call an ambulance, now!"
Within moments, Belinda, appeared from the hallway, her face pale with alarm. "Selena, what happened?" she asked urgently.
"His heart," I gasped between sobs. "He's in pain, bad pain."
