The Will

With Belinda's help, I managed to organize the service. It was tough, but we pulled it off.

We sent out the final cards, arranged the flowers, and set everything in place.

I had a feeling that the day was going to be long and I wondered if I was ready for the mental strain.

The date approached quicker than expected and soon enough, I was right. The day was long and exhausting.

We started with the service, and I was going to be the first to speak. I hadn't practiced a speech as I wanted to speak straight from my heart.

Practicing what to say before his funeral service felt… fake to me.

When I mounted the set podium, I shared an eulogy straight from my heart.

I talked about stories of him, his kindness, his strength, and his unwavering love.

My voice trembled, but I knew that this was part of a way to honor him, to let the world know that his life was worth every moment.
