Chapter 4: Unspoken Feelings

The project for the video game gadgets was going strong, and everyone was busy. Months passed, but the tension between Arin and Pin never faded. They were working together, but things were still awkward between them.

One morning, Arin got to the site early and didn't realize Pin was already there, hard at work. She watched Pin for a moment, amazed at how focused and determined she looked. Pin was beautiful in her work clothes, and for a second, Arin couldn't help but admire her. But then reality hit, and she shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

"Okay, everyone!" Arin called out, her voice firm. "I'm here. Let's get back to work!"

As soon as she spoke, everyone turned their attention to her, and she shot a glare at anyone lingering too long on Pin. They all understood the message; she wasn't in the mood for distractions.

Pin noticed that everyone had disappeared, leaving only Arin nearby. She wanted to discuss some project details, but when their eyes met, it felt like time stopped. Arin's heart raced as she looked into Pin's eyes, feeling a mix of anger and longing.

Just then, Poly walked in, breaking the moment. "Hey, you two!" she said cheerfully, sensing the tension. Poly knew about their past and could see the feelings still simmering beneath the surface.

"Poly," Arin said, looking away from Pin, her voice tense.

Poly glanced between them, aware of the unresolved feelings. She had tried to explain things to Arin over the past two years, but Arin never listened.

"Is everything okay?" Poly asked, trying to lighten the mood.

Pin forced a smile at Poly. "Just discussing some project details," she said, her voice steady, but her eyes were still on Arin.

"Great! Let's make sure we're all on the same page," Poly suggested, hoping to ease the tension. She felt the heavy feelings between Arin and Pin and wanted to help but didn't know how.

As they stood there, the air was thick with unspoken emotions. Arin tried to push her feelings aside for the project, but it was harder than she thought. She couldn't ignore her connection with Pin, nor could she forget her anger.
