90. The Awakening of the Nameless One

The heavens trembled.

Ling Tian hovered in the void, his gaze locked onto the broken celestial chain that once sealed something unfathomable. The remnants of divine inscriptions flickered weakly, their purpose shattered beyond repair.

Xu Qing'er arrived at his side, her silver eyes narrowing at the ancient structure's collapse. "That seal… who could have forged it?"

Ling Tian reached out, brushing his fingers against one of the floating fragments. A pulse of primordial power surged through him, and for an instant, visions flooded his mind—ancient beings, battles beyond mortal comprehension, a force sealed at the very birth of the Myriad Worlds.

Then—a voice.

"You were never meant to find this, child of fate."

A low hum echoed through the void. The shattered remains of the chain moved.

Xu Qing'er gasped. "It's… still alive?"

Ling Tian's body tensed.

BOOM!

A pillar of absolute darkness erupted from the depths of space, piercing through the firmament like a celestial spear. The pressure that followed made even the Sovereign Realms seem insignificant.

Ling Tian barely had time to react before the void split open before him.

And then, it emerged.

A towering silhouette, cloaked in endless black mist.

It had no discernible face, yet its presence alone was suffocating. Time itself seemed to warp around it, as if the concept of existence struggled to comprehend its presence.

The Nameless One had awakened.

Ling Tian's golden-azure aura flared violently, resisting the sheer gravitational pull of the entity's will.

Xu Qing'er's breath hitched. "Ling Tian, this thing... it's beyond a Sovereign!"

The entity moved—or perhaps, reality itself bent around it.

Then, it spoke.

"You who stand before me… why do you resist the inevitable?"

Its voice was neither loud nor soft, yet it resonated within the very fabric of the world.

Ling Tian's eyes burned with defiance. "I do not bow to fate."

The darkness shuddered.

And then—

It attacked.

A mere flicker of its will sent an ocean of black flames surging toward them.

Ling Tian's figure blurred. Azure-gold light clashed against the abyss.

The battle had begun.
