Land Room & Production Room

Without hesitation, Adam stepped into the Land Room, which was adjacent to his office. As his hand gripped the door handle, he assumed it was just an ordinary metal door.

However, the moment he opened it, a mysterious black curtain appeared, blocking his vision. Without overthinking, he walked through it. The curtain couldn't be moved, but strangely, as soon as he passed through, a new scene unfolded before him.

A bright and tranquil room. The design was simple—almost too simple. To the left, two rows of three-meter-long soil beds lay empty, ready to be planted. On the room's walls, Adam noticed a tool rack holding a sickle, hoe, shovel, and other farming equipment.

Right beside the rack, a one-meter-tall water barrel caught his attention. Curiosity got the better of him, and he approached it, peering inside. The water was crystal clear, as if sourced from a pristine mountain spring.

[Water Barrel]

Water from the Sacred Mountain of Life, rich in energy, capable of quenching the thirst of all living beings. (Drinkable)

Capacity: 1000 liters

Adam blinked, rereading the description.

"What the hell? Isn't this a bit too much?" he muttered, barely believing his eyes.

But curiosity was stronger than doubt. He scooped some water into his hands and took a sip.

Glug… glug…

Instantly, a refreshing sensation spread through his throat. It was light, smooth—almost too perfect. In just a second, he felt more energized.

"Shit… since when does water taste this good?" he thought, his face slightly flushed from the unexpected effect.

Leaving the water barrel, Adam continued exploring. His gaze landed on a small sack with a wheat symbol printed on it.

[Bag - Wheat Seeds]

A bag filled with selected wheat seeds. Requires careful and consistent maintenance to produce high-quality, energy-rich wheat.

Adam sighed. "Another special item…" he grumbled inwardly.

Finally, his focus shifted to the two soil beds in the middle of the room. At first glance, the soil looked ordinary, but after reading the description, his eyes widened slightly.

[Land - Soil]

Special soil for growing Selected Wheat. Each grain of soil contains unique energy and nutrients for wheat growth. (Not edible)

Adam frowned. "Wait, why does it specifically say this soil isn't edible?" he muttered.

[Noise is prohibited in the Sacred Land Room.]

A system warning popped up before him, making him shut his mouth instantly. He glanced upward and gave a thumbs-up, silently apologizing.

"Alright, time to plant the seeds," he thought.

Adam grabbed a handful of seeds and scattered them across the soil. However, nothing happened. No glow, no reaction—not even a progress bar appeared.

"Uh… maybe I need to dig a little?" he mused, glancing at the tool rack.

He picked up a shovel, returned to the soil bed, and dug a small hole. Placing a few seeds inside, he covered them again. But still, nothing.

[Owner does not meet the requirements to plant wheat. Please follow the instructions in the Book of Understanding.]

"Book of Understanding?" Adam scratched his head. That was when he noticed a simple table in the corner of the room, with a worn-out brown book resting on top.

He walked over and picked it up.

[Book of Understanding]

This book provides a clear understanding for anyone who wishes to become a farmer. Even a puppy could become a Farming God with the will to learn.

Adam scoffed. "What an exaggerated claim," he muttered before flipping to the first page.

Blank.

[The owner cannot acquire farming knowledge. Your path has been determined by the System—to become the Supreme Overlord.]

Adam stood still for a moment.

"Nye nye nye…" he mumbled sarcastically, shutting the book with an annoyed expression. "What's the harm in just reading it?"

Wasting no time, Adam exited and made his way to the Production Room.

Upon opening the door, he found that the room's atmosphere was similar to the Land Room. However, this time, the space was filled with massive, complex machines. A sleek, high-tech grinder made of polished steel immediately caught his attention.

[Flour Production Machine]

An abandoned relic from a once-glorious family, but still functional. With proper use, wheat can be processed into flour.

Adam rolled his eyes, already fed up with the system's nonsense.

Just like in the Land Room, a small table sat in the corner, holding yet another book—one that he was certain would refuse to teach him anything.

To the right of the room, a rack held protective gear for operating the machines, along with sacks of already processed flour.

"If I can't plant or grind, then who can?" Adam questioned, feeling frustrated. This system was advanced, yet incredibly dumb at the same time. He stood in silence, as if waiting for an answer.

[Congratulations! The host has completed a hidden mission: Inspect the Land and Production Rooms. Reward acquired: (HR Appraisal Eyes).]

(HR Appraisal Eyes): A boss's eyes—capable of seeing the true nature of employees across the universe.

"Ugh…" Adam rubbed his eyes. "Damn it, what did you do to my vision?" he grumbled, still feeling odd.

[Main Mission Triggered: Recruit Employees.]

Adam stared blankly at the system panel. To him, this all felt incredibly stupid. Or rather, he felt stupid.

Great… I'm still stuck in this shithole," he muttered, reminding himself of his reality.

"So, I can recruit people now?" Adam looked up, finally grasping the situation. He exited the room and began planning his first recruitment.

However, just as he was about to leave with his machete in hand, his eyes landed on the monitor flashing a red warning.

He stepped closer and examined the screen. The Surveillance Camera feature displayed an alert.

"Great… let's see what we've got."

Adam quickly selected the Surveillance Camera function, and a video feed appeared on the monitor.

On the screen, he saw two people entering the computer shop he had previously stayed in. But there weren't just two people—there were three, including a toddler cradled in the woman's arms.
