Blacksmith Factory

Adam sat in his office chair behind a desk in the middle of the factory room, his gaze fixed on the monitor screen glowing with a bluish hue. Last night, he had been too exhausted from martial arts training to check the system market. Only this morning did he finally get a chance to review the latest updates.

On the screen, the list of available items was clearly displayed. Some of them looked quite appealing, especially with the weekly promo offering huge discounts.

[Market]

Buy:

Healing Potion (10) – 12 Copper

Leather Cloak – 5 Copper

Defense Crystal (10) – 10 Copper

(Weekly Promo: 90% Off) Blueberry Field – 1 Gold

(Weekly Promo: 10% Off) Blacksmith Factory – 9 Gold

Sell: (Empty)

[Note: The market will refresh in 6 hours. 5 hours and 48 minutes remaining before reset.]

Adam tapped his chin, deep in thought. "Does the weekly promo also reset every six hours?" His current guess was that the promo stayed active until a certain deadline, but he wasn't sure yet. If he had the chance, he planned to test it by not buying any discounted items and checking if they remained after the next market reset.

His eyes landed back on the Blacksmith Factory. The building sounded tempting, but he hesitated. How hard is it to earn gold coins? So far, he had only gained 10 silver from completing the mission to recruit employees. If the exchange rate was too steep, gathering 9 gold might be nearly impossible anytime soon.

Adam opened the system's main page and checked his wealth balance.

Wealth: 8 Silver

He still had 8 silver left from the previous mission reward. Not enough to buy the Blueberry Field, let alone the Blacksmith Factory. To confirm the currency conversion rate, he decided to make a small purchase first.

"Let's try buying a Healing Potion," he muttered, moving the cursor over the item.

[Purchasing Healing Potion. Please enter quantity, maximum 10.]

Quantity:

Adam typed in "1." A few seconds later, a notification appeared.

[Successfully purchased Healing Potion. 12 Copper coins deducted from the host's wealth.]

He immediately reopened his wealth page.

Wealth: 7 Silver 88 Copper

"A 1 silver to 100 copper ratio," he muttered, now understanding the system's currency.

His thoughts returned to the expensive items on the market list. The Blueberry Field cost 1 gold, meaning he needed 100 silver, while the Blacksmith Factory required 900 silver.

His expression hardened slightly. "So I need 1,000 silver to buy both... That's insane," he sighed, leaning back in his chair.

Taking a deep breath, he murmured to himself, "I really hope this factory's income is higher than I expect."

Feeling a bit lighter, Adam opened the desk drawer beside him.

Just like with the Viper Sniper before, inside the drawer was a transparent box about the size of his palm. Inside it, a small bottle filled with transparent red liquid shimmered under the light, with faint green particles swirling lazily within.

Box (Healing Potion)

[Open]

Adam immediately tapped the Open option. In an instant, the transparent box disappeared, leaving the potion bottle in his hand.

He lifted it to eye level, inspecting it closely. When he gently shook the bottle, the glowing green particles inside floated as if suspended in water, drifting like dust motes caught in a current. Curious, he opened the cap. A fresh herbal aroma instantly spread, blending the scents of various medicinal plant extracts carefully formulated together.

"What's the effect?" he muttered, checking the item description.

(Healing Potion)

A basic potion formulated from healing herbal extracts. Effective for minor to moderate injuries.

Type: Consumable

Quality: Common

Effect: Restores a small to moderate amount of HP, depending on quality.

(Note): Cannot be used while under the effects of "Burn" or "Poison."

Adam narrowed his eyes. "Restores HP?" he murmured. "But... how much HP do I even have?"

His gaze shifted to the status panel, searching for any HP-related information. But there was none.

He let out a slow exhale. "Well, I guess it doesn't matter right now."

Without overthinking it, Adam brought the potion to his lips and took a sip. The liquid flowed down his throat smoothly, as light as mineral water, though it left a faint bitter taste with a subtle warmth spreading in its wake.

"Hmm..."

He waited a few seconds, focusing on his body. There was a slight refreshing sensation coursing through him, though the effect wasn't particularly strong.

"I feel a bit more energized, but not by much," he muttered. Maybe the effect was minimal because his body wasn't injured.

After thinking for a moment, he tapped the market panel again. "I'll buy nine more just in case."

[Successfully purchased Healing Potion (9). 108 Copper coins deducted from the host's wealth.]

[Successfully purchased Leather Cloak. 5 Copper coins deducted from the host's wealth.]

[Successfully purchased Defense Crystal (10). 100 Copper coins deducted from the host's wealth.]

The leather cloak was only 5 copper, so Adam bought it along with the potions.

He opened the drawer again and found three more transparent boxes inside, all identical in size.

Box (Leather Cloak)

[Open]

Adam was about to tap Open when his hand stopped mid-air. A thought suddenly crossed his mind.

He stared at the transparent box for a moment, his eyes narrowing. A box this small can hold nine potion bottles and a leather cloak?

Lifting it slowly, he weighed it in his hand. It felt almost weightless, as if it were just a thin glass layer with nothing inside.

Isn't this similar to spatial storage?

A frown formed on his face, curiosity stirring within him. If this box could store large quantities of items, perhaps there was a way to use it to his advantage.

"SYSTEM, can I take this box outside the factory?" Adam asked to confirm.

A moment later, a notification popped up before him.

[All boxes taken outside the factory area will automatically open.]
