Element Affinity

" Ah! You are a Fallen!"

Alisa's eyes were wide open and she was shocked to hear the news. She never thought that she would have the chance to meet a Fallen at Misty Academy. But she still maintained the cold expression on her face although her eyes betrayed her true emotions.

She became even more curious about Aaron. She felt that there was something mysterious about him. Even though he said he was a Fallen, his eyes didn't show any helplessness; instead, they were full of confidence.

This puzzled her the most.

" Alisa, do you know how a person can learn new skills?"

Alisa came to her senses after listening to Aaron's words. She thought for a second, and then she replied in a cold tone," Since I am free, then I will reply to your question"

" All living things have an affinity to certain elements. Like I have an affinity for Water and Wind, which can be combined to form the Ice/Frost element. Similarly, you must first test your element before you try to learn any skills. The higher your affinity in a certain element the better the chance you can learn the following skills."

" The element affinity is also divided into grades from E to SSS. The higher the grade the easier you can control the element.

E Grade: Basic

D Grade: Novice

C Grade: Intermediate

B Grade: Advanced

A Grade: Expert

S Grade: Master

SS Grade: Grandmaster

SSS Grade: Legendary."

" Of course, there are also magical herbs that can increase your grades after consuming them. But they are very hard to find."

" Now let me talk about the skills. To learn the skills you must be familiar with three steps."

" First you need to imagine the type of skill you want to create. For example, the basic type of spell that anyone can Master is Mana Ball."

" In this case, you have to imagine a blue color ball in your mind."

" In the second step, you need to channel your mana where you want to release it from. Like from the hand. So you have to channel your mana there."

" Finally the last and the most crucial step. It releases the skill on the desired target. For this, you need to practice."

Aaron, at the side, was listening with full attention. By the time she finished explaining, he had found that the trees had finally disappeared, and in front of them was a big building with names imprinted on it. The road also had various signs which showed the way to certain departments.

" Thanks Alisa. Your explanation is a great help to me. Since you said that one can easily learn Mana Ball. Then can you please teach me how to use this skill?"

Aaron requested Alisa with a somewhat nervous expression on his face.

" Nope. I don't have time to babysit you. Of course, if you want, then you can follow me to the library. There you can easily find the book on Mana Ball and more basic spells. Of course, the premise is that you are willing to spend your time there."

Alisa immediately replied in a somewhat cold tone. She said so as she felt strange when talking to Aaron. She almost let down her guard, which made her feel that she must be vigilant against him.

" Then I will thank you, Alisa."

Alisa snorted and took the lead. Aaron followed behind her while looking at the big building. He couldn't help but marvel at how these buildings were built.

A few minutes later.

Aaron looked at the big building in front of him with the word Library written on it.

He hardly hesitated and followed behind Alisa.

As soon as they reached the door. Alisa said," Where is your token?"

" Token! Oh, wait! I think that you are talking about this right?"

Aaron showed the medallion that he got from Geralt the last day.

" This is the Elite student token. But how did he get it? Did he steal it? Nah he is only at level 1. That means that he was recently recruited. I don't know what the principal is thinking by giving him the token. I am sure that he might become the number 1 enemy of the nobles if he dares to show the token."

Alisa said to herself while looking at Aaron with a look of pity.

" Here scan your token like this."

While saying so, Alisa took out her token and placed it in front of the scanner. As she did the gate opened itself. And she walked in while the gate also closed.

Seeing this Aaron also mimicked Alisa's action. Sure enough, the gate opened, and Aaron walked in. He was stunned to see the huge amount of books that were all over the place.

What made him feel strange was that there was no receptionist.

" Aaron here you can tell the book you want. The Golem will bring the book to you. Also, you can't practice it here. If you want to record the thing inside the book then you can buy the pen and paper here."

" There are rules. Like inside the reading room, you can't talk. You can't practice any spell. All you can do is read, and when time is up, then you have to leave this place."

" If you disregard the rule then you will be directly expelled from here and will not be allowed to visit the library for next week. Moreover, with your token, you can remain in the library for 48 hours only. After that, you have to take on some quests that will help you earn contribution points, which can be redeemed for either equipment, potion, or time in the library."

Saying so, she didn't wait for Aaron to react, and she hastily went to the counter and spoke something. But what was strange was that Aaron didn't hear a single thing.

He was once again amazed. Then he also hurriedly went to the counter and looked at the Golem. It looked like a human, except all its body parts were made from some kind of metal.
