January 1, 2026
A new year had begun, bringing the possibility of new challenges and changes.
After months of intense training, Zufar, Adam, and the others had sharpened their skills and gained valuable experience. Time had passed so quickly, and now they had only a few weeks left before the school holidays ended.
---
During this holiday season, Din faced numerous challengers, all eager to claim his championship title. However, none had succeeded in defeating him. Now, he held an undefeated record of 17 wins, 0 losses.
A few months ago, Azfiq lost his championship title. However, just a few weeks before this date, he easily reclaimed his title. Rumors began to spread that Azfiq had intentionally thrown his previous match, just to toy with his opponent's confidence. When he decided to take back his title, he won in just one round, despite the fight being scheduled for eight rounds.
The former champion was left in a coma, still undergoing treatment to this day. Fans expressed their outrage and disappointment at Azfiq's actions. When questioned by the media, Azfiq simply replied:
"I learn from my mistakes quickly." But in reality, only he knew his true intentions.
Anis secured her fifth victory.
Many of her fans suggested that she challenge for the Featherweight Championship title, believing she was ready to take the next step.
However, she declined, feeling that she was not yet prepared to compete for the title.
She knew that her current skills were still far below the level of the reigning champion.
Her fifth match had been difficult, making her realize she needed more time to improve before aiming for the top.
Meanwhile, Zufar and Adam continued their intensive training under Zafrul's guidance. Before officially coaching Adam, Zafrul requested a rematch against him. Adam lost the rematch.
Afterward, Zafrul explained:
"Your movements are too predictable. That gives your opponents a huge advantage in long fights."
To correct this, Zafrul designed a harsher training regimen, pushing Adam to adapt to all situations.
As for Zufar, his biggest weakness was his mentality. During the selection test, he had struggled to control his emotions. If he were to fight a more experienced opponent, they would easily manipulate him into their control. Thus, Zufar's training focused on strengthening his mental resilience, ensuring he could remain calm and strategic in battle. After months of intense training, this year might finally be the time when Zafrul allows them to attempt the professional qualification test.
However, before that, Zafrul organized a friendly match between their martial arts training center and a martial arts academy from the southern region. The higher-ups agreed to hold this private tournament, allowing their members to exchange experiences and learn new skills. Zafrul was given the responsibility of selecting six fighters to represent their academy.
Among the chosen were:
Zufar, Adam, and Anis – selected as junior members.
Azfiq – chosen as a senior representative.
Two more fighters – whose identities were still kept secret.
This match would serve as an opportunity for them to prove themselves and show any improvements they had gained from their training.
A week before the tournament, all six selected fighters were called in for an introductory session. Even though they all trained at the same facility, most of them had never interacted before.
Adam, Zufar, and Anis were the first to arrive on the third floor. This was the first time Adam and Zufar had been allowed beyond the second floor, as they had previously been restricted to training there.
Before their arrival, the second floor had already housed 27 senior members. However, Zufar and Adam had stood out from the rest, showing great potential. Because of this, they were chosen to compete, proving they had what it takes to go even further.
---
As they waited, Anis approached Zufar and Adam, greeting them. When Adam responded with a smile, Anis suddenly blushed.
"Sifu!!! Please take me as your disciple!!" Zufar jokingly teased Anis, referencing their past at school. He had always called her "Sifu" back then.
Anis simply smiled in response, choosing not to react aggressively—especially in front of Adam.
---
Not long after, the two remaining fighters finally arrived. They greeted Adam, Zufar, and Anis before introducing themselves.
Lee – A tall, muscular fighter with long, straight black hair.
Khai – A shorter, leaner fighter with short brown hair.
Both of them had recently obtained their professional licenses and had been training on the fourth floor. Zafrul had given them this opportunity to prove their abilities before their official debut matches.
Lee and Khai began stretching exercises while waiting for Zafrul to arrive. They didn't waste any time and were always prepared—a clear difference in discipline and work ethic among those chosen to become professionals. They knew how to take initiative without needing to be told what to do.
Meanwhile, Adam and Zufar simply sat back, leaning against the wall while observing their surroundings. Anis, on the other hand, was still focused on her phone, seemingly chatting with someone.
Not long after, another person entered the training area, radiating an intimidating aura.
The moment Khai and Lee felt it, their bodies froze—they couldn't move, even though they hadn't even seen who it was yet. It was as if the aura carried an immense gravitational force, making them feel heavier, restricting their movements.
Zufar, however, resisted the pressure, trying to push through it. He attempted to greet the newcomer, but before he could, Anis stopped him. She shook her head silently, signaling him not to approach.
Azfiq suppressed his aura, immediately calming the atmosphere as soon as Tan Sri entered the room with Zafrul. For a moment, the entire room fell silent.
"Ohhh!! Everyone's here. That's great!" Tan Sri greeted them warmly, breaking the tension.
"Let me introduce Tan Sri Mustafa Kamal, the owner of the 'Bima Sakti' Martial Arts Training Center." Zafrul spoke up, formally introducing the facility's owner.
"I hope all of you have already introduced yourselves before we arrived," he added, scanning the group.
However, he quickly noticed that everyone looked pale, as if they had just seen a ghost. Zafrul sighed, rubbing his forehead. He knew exactly what had caused this reaction.
"Azfiq, stop scaring them. These are the fighters we're counting on—you should be sharing your knowledge and experience with them." Zafrul scolded Azfiq.
Azfiq simply smirked. It was his habit to instill fear in others—he enjoyed watching people shiver under his presence.
"Oh, come on, Coach! I was just joking. They're fine, right~?"
Azfiq replied casually while patting Lee and Khai on the shoulders. The two of them nodded rapidly, as if to agree.
"See? We've already introduced ourselves. This one is Labu, and the other one is Labi." Azfiq added with a mischievous grin.
Once again, Lee and Khai nodded quickly, playing along.
"Their names are Lee and Khai! And why are you two just nodding without saying anything?!" Zafrul snapped, slightly irritated.
Azfiq burst into laughter, laughing so hard that he even rolled on the floor.
"And these two over here are Adam and Zufar. No need to introduce Anis since you're already friends with her brother." Zafrul continued, completing the introductions.
---
Azfiq and Aqil were actually close friends. They had met at the hospital when their hospital beds happened to be next to each other. Through their conversations, Aqil shared valuable knowledge with Azfiq about how to fight more effectively. Because of this, Azfiq deeply respected Aqil, valuing the wisdom he had imparted.
After the introduction session, Zafrul continued with the briefing. So far, they hadn't been informed that they were selected to represent their academy in the private tournament against another training center.
Azfiq was appointed as the team leader. Although he had a ruthless appearance, he often helped train and shared knowledge with other fighters during professional matches. His fighting style was brutal, almost merciless, but outside the ring, he remained professional and conducted himself appropriately.
Azfiq nodded in agreement but warned them that training with him could be deadly. Zafrul quickly interrupted, dismissing Azfiq's joke. He knew Azfiq was still trying to intimidate the others. What the group didn't realize was that they were standing alongside one of the Lucid King Street Champions. Only Anis truly knew who Azfiq really was. However, she chose to let Azfiq reveal his true identity on his own.
---
After the briefing ended, everyone dispersed and headed home. Anis invited Zufar and Adam to hang out at a nearby dessert café. Since they had nothing else planned, and it was still only 10 AM, they agreed to join her. As they waited for their food, they chatted casually.
"Adam, do you like sweets?" Anis asked, trying to start small talk. Adam nodded silently.
This was the first time he had ever talked to a girl, so he didn't know how to respond properly. Anis kept asking him various questions, making an effort to keep the conversation going.
Meanwhile, Zufar remained quiet, simply observing Anis's behavior. This was the first time he had seen Anis being this friendly. At school, they only ever talked about martial arts—nothing personal.
Anis took a picture with Adam and Zufar before they began eating. She then uploaded the photo to her social media.
Almost immediately, Mia and Shima bombarded her with tons of private messages. Anis simply smiled, excited to share the details with them later.
---
After finishing their meal, Zufar and Adam each headed home. Meanwhile, Anis stayed behind, waiting for her dessert order to be packed for takeaway. She had already invited Mia and Shima for a sleepover at her house that night.
That night, Zufar couldn't sleep. His mind kept replaying thoughts of Azfiq. Did Azfiq know that he was the one who had destroyed his best friend's dream?
The aura Azfiq released earlier that morning felt as if it was directed specifically at him. To ease his thoughts, Zufar searched for Azfiq's fight records on social media. His fighting style was truly merciless. In fact, Zufar started to feel that Azfiq might be even stronger than Din. A terrifying realization hit him—what if Azfiq sought revenge for his best friend?
For the first time, Zufar felt a deep, overwhelming fear. Even Din's aura had never felt as heavy as Azfiq's. Determined to find answers, Zufar decided that tomorrow, before they returned to the third floor, he would ask Anis about Azfiq.

Extra Scene: Anis's House – Sleepover Night
Anis, Shima, and Mia are in Anis's bedroom, sitting on the floor with sweets and drinks scattered around. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, but Mia and Shima can't hide their excitement after seeing the photo Anis posted earlier.
Mia: "Okay, spill it! What's with the photo?!"
(She points at Anis's phone, showing the picture of her, Adam, and Zufar at the dessert café.)
Shima: "Yeah! Since when did you hang out with two guys alone?!"
Anis: (Rolling her eyes but blushing slightly) "It's nothing! Zufar and Adam are my training partners, and we just went for dessert after practice."
Mia: (Giggling) "Ooooh, just training partners? Are you sure?~"
Shima: (Nudging Anis) "Especially that Adam guy… You looked pretty happy sitting next to him."
Anis: (Crossing her arms) "I was just being friendly! That's all."
Mia: "Okay, but let's be honest… Is Adam cute?"
Shima: "He looks kinda serious, but in a cute, awkward way. Like he doesn't know how to talk to girls."
Anis: (Chuckling softly) "Yeah, he's not used to it. He barely spoke when I asked him questions, just nodded."
Mia: (Gasps dramatically) "OMG, is this a slow-burn romance?!"
Shima: (Laughing) "You better not break his heart, Anis. Poor guy wouldn't even know what hit him."
Anis: (Shaking her head, but smiling) "You guys are ridiculous. It's not like that."
Mia: "Anis, be honest… Do you find Adam interesting?"
Shima: (Grinning) "Yeah, would you date him if he asked?"
Anis: (Pausing for a moment, then looking away) "I… don't know. I haven't thought about it like that."
Mia: (Pointing excitedly) "AHA! That means you've thought about it a little!"
Shima: "Oooooh, so you wouldn't say no?"
Anis: (Throwing a pillow at them) "Enough already! He's just a friend!"
Mia & Shima: (Laughing and dodging the pillow)
As the night continues, they talk more about training and rivalries. But Mia and Shima don't let Anis off the hook about Adam. They tease her the entire night, while Anis pretends not to care, but deep down, she's more curious about Adam than she expected.
---
The next morning, Zufar arrived early at the training center. He wanted to catch Anis before heading up, so he could ask her about what had been bothering him all night.nA few minutes later, he spotted Anis walking towards the elevator.
Without hesitation, Zufar intercepted her and invited her to sit downstairs for a while, hoping to avoid running into Azfiq. Anis agreed easily, following his request without question. They sat in the rest area near the inquiry counter.
Zufar immediately voiced his concern, asking if Azfiq knew about his past actions. Anis fell silent for a moment, as if thinking deeply. Then, suddenly, she smiled at him.
"I can tell you what you want to know, but only if you fulfill my request first." Anis said with a playful grin.
At first, Zufar looked confused. But without hesitation, he agreed—his mind was too occupied with thoughts of Azfiq to question her request. Anis then asked for Adam's phone number. Zufar handed it over without much thought, not even questioning her reasons. His focus was solely on Azfiq.
Anis finally revealed the truth—Azfiq still didn't know who was responsible for what happened to his best friend. Aqil was a private person who never shared personal matters with others, even with Azfiq. Upon hearing this, Zufar felt a huge wave of relief.
The weight of his worries finally eased. Anis then excused herself, saying she needed to change into her martial arts uniform before training.
---
Everyone had gathered and now stood in front of Azfiq. Unlike yesterday, the atmosphere was not as tense, as Azfiq wasn't releasing the same intimidating aura.
Azfiq requested each of them to demonstrate their techniques and skills before he gave his assessment. Then, he suddenly commanded all five of them to form a team and fight against him together.
The group froze in shock at the unexpected challenge. However, no one objected—they all knew that even if they attacked together, they still wouldn't be able to defeat him.
Despite this, they prepared themselves, taking their stances, ready to engage Azfiq in battle. Azfiq, however, remained completely relaxed, standing motionless, seemingly inviting them to attack from any direction.
Lee and Khai exchanged glances, as if agreeing to coordinate their attack. Lee charged straight ahead, while Khai moved to the side, positioning himself strategically. Lee launched a knee strike, aiming at Azfiq.
Azfiq effortlessly blocked it with one hand, his expression unchanged. Lee didn't immediately follow up with another attack. Instead, he attempted to hold Azfiq in place, creating an opening for Khai to land a clean hit.
Seeing this opportunity, Khai threw a punch straight at Azfiq's face. But instead of dodging, Azfiq simply smiled. At the last moment, he swung Lee into the path of Khai's punch—forcing Lee to take the hit instead. Lee staggered back, reeling from the impact.
Azfiq chuckled, impressed by their teamwork.
"Not bad. You two move well together—reacting quickly without needing to say a word."
But before they could recover, Azfiq counterattacked immediately. He delivered two solid punches to Khai's stomach, causing him to collapse to his knees, clutching his midsection in pain.
Zufar stood frozen, unable to process what had just happened. Everything had happened too fast for him to fully understand the movements and counters that had just taken place.
Meanwhile, Anis dashed toward Azfiq, calling out to Zufar for support. She needed him to create an opening so she could land an attack on Azfiq. Zufar heard her, but his mind was still blank—he had no idea what he needed to do. By the time he regained focus, he was already too late to assist Anis.
Anis launched a relentless flurry of kicks, forcing Azfiq to stay on the defensive. She then shifted to the side, attempting a punch to his left ribs, but Azfiq effortlessly blocked every single attack. Still, Anis continued attacking, changing directions constantly, waiting for Zufar to create an opportunity for her to land a hit.
Zufar, however, remained in place, completely lost. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder—it was Adam. Adam's touch snapped him back to reality, and he quickly explained a strategy he had just figured out.
Zufar moved immediately, executing what Adam had just instructed him to do. At the same time, Adam circled around to position himself behind Azfiq.
Zufar initiated a sliding kick towards Azfiq, but as expected, Azfiq casually lifted one foot to dodge. Adam had predicted this reaction correctly—Azfiq wasn't taking them seriously, believing them to be far beneath his level.
Seizing the moment, Zufar stopped midway and swung his leg high, aiming directly for Azfiq's torso. Azfiq's eyes widened slightly—he hadn't expected a follow-up attack.
As he attempted to create distance, he suddenly found himself trapped—Anis had anticipated his retreat, closing in for a punch to his face.
However, it never landed. Azfiq demonstrated incredible flexibility, twisting his body in an impossible motion, slipping out of danger just in time.
But just as he evaded Anis's attack, he suddenly felt a presence behind him—Adam was coming in for an attack.
For the first time, Azfiq had no way to counter—his position left him vulnerable.
Adam's speed gave him no room to react. With perfect timing, Adam delivered his 'Kick Bomba' straight to Azfiq's chest. They were about to cheer in victory, but their excitement quickly faded.
Adam's kick had done nothing. Azfiq stood still, completely unaffected by the attack. Adam quickly retreated, knowing that a counterattack was coming.
Instead of retaliating immediately, Azfiq gave a round of applause.
"Well done."
He praised their teamwork, then turned to Zafrul with a grin.
"You made the right choice."
To him, all five of them had impressive potential.
But then, in the blink of an eye, Azfiq vanished. Before they could even react, he struck with blinding speed, appearing to attack both Adam and Zufar at the same time, despite them being in different positions. Anis managed to dodge, as she was barely able to follow his movements. Even so, Azfiq's speed was beyond reason, something no normal human should be capable of.
With everyone incapacitated, Azfiq ended the training session. Even Anis, who hadn't been hit, was completely exhausted from the continuous attacks she had thrown earlier.
---
Before leaving, Azfiq spoke privately with Anis, giving her his final assessment. He asked her to relay his message to the others once they regained consciousness.
Azfiq praised their abilities, saying they had tremendous potential. However, he warned them—their upcoming opponents were not ordinary fighters. If they wanted to survive the tournament, they would have to push themselves beyond their limits.
