Lenthandra and Grey

Lenthandra stood before Rune, tall and imposing like never before. Rune had a feeling this wasn't the Lenthandra he had known. If she was the same Lenthandra, she had greatly changed then in the last month.

The dragon before him was more than Lenthandra in every aspect, from strength to magnificent and aura and all. Size. Beauty.

It's very nice to finally meet you Rune. I have waited for only I know how long.

Rune was flabbergasted at those words. He was with Lenthandra just a month or so ago! So what was this about forever waiting for him?

The Lenthandra you know was a piece of my soul I gave to protect you before you awakened the system. But since I'm tied to the Ridgeback Wolf, a part of it came with my piece of my soul.

The Grey and Lenthandra you know are but nothing compared to the real us. Without you activating the system, we could never have been able to manifest our bodies in this plane without fracturing this and nearby worlds.

You are my anchor, through you I was able to manifest my body after so long.

Rune wondered at this revelation. The Lenthandra before him didn't look much different from the Lenthandra he had known in the past except for the sharpness and more defined features. And maybe a deeper aura.

The dragon chuckled at Rune's thoughts, showing rows of teeth as big as Rune's legs.

I'm only showing a quarter of my real size. I have the ability to compress my body to any size.

And for my strength, think of the Lenthandra you know's strength and multiply it by five hundred bars. That will be my strength.

Rune was shocked because he had a clear picture of Lenthandra's strength. If this Lenthandra was stronger by that factor, did this mean ....He shook his head in wonderment.

And to think that she was only a quarter of her real size! What about her real size if her quarter size was bigger than that of the Lenthandra she had known before!

Rune was deeply humbled.

P-DAS told me that you were wondering why you couldn't feel me. Have you now figured out why you couldn't feel the link anymore?

Rune thought for a moment before realization dawned on him.

There was no link between him and Lenthandra because him and Lenthandra were one. Each was an extension of the other.

He had not realised it before because the merging was seamless, but now that he had paid attention to it, he felt every movement and thoughts of Lenthandra like they were his own.

If he didn't know, he would have thought that these feelings and thoughts were his.

...

Next, rune brought out the Ridgeback Wolf, his next life Companion.

The Wolf had not changed by much in size. It was now filled in and looked more matured, a far cry from the three year old cub from before.

Its fur was deep grey tinted with a brown hue on its back.

A dangerous aura of a fully fledged predator permeated the surroundings scaring the nearby beasts into running away and some hiding.

....

It was time to head back to his mother. It's been almost three years since he last saw her.

...

A lone handsome figure made his way through the crowded streets of Carvonia. His clothes were simple but of the best quality.

He effortlessly made his way to a small weaponry shop with a white banner that read Paramount Weapons in silver.

.....

A young man and two young women behind the counter were tending to a young man who was wearing blue silks.

Rune remembered the two behind the counter regardless of the time that had passed. The third one looked familiar but his mind couldn't pin point her in his memories.

....

Andrew stood in the shop facing the haughty teenage girl behind the counter.

She was beauty personified. Long blonde her cascaded behind her back, framing her face into that of an angel. Small dimples adorned her cheeks.

But right now he didn't see all of that. Since she had returned from the Sect, no money had come from this shop in almost a month.

After the Paramount Weapons shop had made its name in this and nearby cities, people have floated to its doors for the affordable weapons.

The Duke, Duke Carlson, had ordered fifty percent weapon value added tax targeting the Paramount Weapons two years ago.

This decree had left Mrs Amaroc devasted. Her son's business that had flourished for nearly a year nearly came down crashing before her eyes.

In her desperation, she closed the Jewelry shop and stored the goods in her house so she could concentrate on managing the Weapon shop.

Only the heavens knew how many sleepless nights she had spent praying for her adopted son.

....

"Young lady, this is the Duke's decree! The tax has rose to seventy percent and everyone has to pay. And you are no exception." Andrew was becoming more angry.

"We don't have the money you pig head robber. You tell your duke to come and collect it for himself if it is that important to him!" The young lady shouted into his face.

This tax was the reason she was still at home. Her colleagues had long returned to the Sect a week ago.

Only if she had the power to beat up these bullies!

Next time I come back with my familiar, I will show these bandits in official robes what robbing others feels like! She thought to herself.

This was what Andrew was waiting for.

"That's treason, no one is supposed to speak of the Duke in an irrespective manner! Miss Sandra, you are under arrest for treason!"

The guard purposely shouted so that the other customers could here.

" And as per the charge of treason, your property has become state property!"

Guards who were waiting outside rushed into the shop after the announcement. All of them were in the Soul Realm. There was nothing Sandra could do.

Mrs Amaroc came rushing down from upstairs when she head the thumping of boots. This has happened numerous times in the past in this shop.

" Sir Andrew , why is my daughter in chains?" Mrs Amaroc was mad, her eyes full of hatred and hopelessness.

" Your daughter is charged with treason for speaking against the Crown's servant, Duke Carlson Mrs Amaroc" Sir Andrew sneered at the hopeless beautiful woman before him.

Rune had been standing back wanting to see how things unfolded. It seemed to him that his family had ran into trouble in his absence. He hated these kinds of people.

He stepped forward blocking the path of the guards and the beautiful young lady in chains.

"Are you Miss Amaroc, Sandra Amaroc?"
