DEAD.EXE : ReWritten in Death

There was once a story where a hero appears, in other iterations a villain could emerge instead.



His story started when something went wrong. Kang-Hyeon would have been better off if he knew that the Fanghound Guild was never trustworthy. However, it got the better of him. It was supposed to be an easy gig. One where you translate the runes, undo the seal, and let it be. But it did not play out like that.



The moment the tomb responded to him, so did the blade.



He left behind a crumbling structure, where he should have met his demise, but his narrative does not set him up like that.



Something drew him back. A power kept dormant, something far worse than his entire history. Hidden away inside the unknown.



“Hyeon?” something called to him by name. Everything came at a price though and this power needed payment.



So there he is with the choice to live.



Now when he steps outside and takes a stroll in public, all the people who choose to betray him will understand.



The thing that is the most frightening is that he is not dead, yet he refuses to perish.



The intricate developments in this world, alongside its thrilling mysteries, and a protagonist that is trapped in between the realms of free will and determinism is what makes it worth appreciating.
