A Qiang, You Threw That Wrong!

Ronald's voice boomed, momentarily stunning everyone around him.

Li Haotian, filled with fury, turned to Mia and asked in confusion, "What's a fuel barrel?"

Mia shook her head, her beautiful eyes fixated on the young man shouting in the battlefield, lost in thought.

On the battlefield, A Qiang heard Ronald's roar and swiftly grabbed a red metal barrel from a cart used for looted supplies. He deftly lit the fuse attached to the barrel lid with a spark, watching as the flames flickered to life.

With a mighty heave, he hurled the barrel towards the city gates!

What happened next would be etched in everyone's memory forever.

The red barrel arced gracefully through the air before crashing down with a resounding "bang!" A deafening explosion shattered the silence, sending a massive fireball mixed with crimson blood splattering into the sky like a hurricane's shockwave, toppling nearby defenders like ragdolls.

Smoke and dust engulfed the gate, freezing everyone in place as they gaped in shock at the scene unfolding before them.

For a moment, silence reigned. Ronald, taken aback, hadn't expected such explosive power. The shockwave from the blast hit him like a punch to the chest, nearly stealing his breath away.

As the smoke cleared, they glimpsed the aftermath: where once stood a throng of defenders, there was now nothing but bones. The upper part of the thick city wall had been reduced to rubble, leaving only broken remnants behind.

What kind of weapon could unleash such devastating destruction?

Ronald was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his composure, bellowing, "A Qiang! You threw it wrong! Blow the gates open for me!"

"Yes, sir!" A Qiang shouted back, quickly hauling another barrel from the cart and lighting the fuse once more.

The onlookers exchanged glances, panic setting in as the guards at the gate hastily scattered.

Who wouldn't be terrified of being blown to bits?

This time, the barrel struck the heavy gates directly.

"Boom!"

The ground shook with the explosion, and amidst the billowing smoke, the massive doors crashed down. Ronald yelled, "If we don't move now, when will we? Carry the wounded and retreat!"

With that, he charged toward the gates on horseback.

The elite guards sprang into action, roaring as they lifted their incapacitated comrades and followed Ronald into the fray.

According to their earlier plan, once they breached the gates, Liu Long would lead the charge, with Ronald and Zhang Tie following closely, while A Qiang and Cui Hua would hold the rear. After exiting the city, Fan Qingyue would come to their aid.

Seeing the elite soldiers pour through the gates, the defenders hesitated. A Qiang and Cui Hua stood at the entrance like two grim reapers, their expressions unyielding.

Fear coursed through the defenders, caught between dread of the two warriors and the horror of the explosive barrels. If another blast came, they might just wet themselves.

In the watchtower, Li Haotian's face was ashen as he watched the elite guards sweep through. His rage was beyond words; if not for his royal dignity, he would have exploded with fury right there.
