The ten of them were all gifted beyond measure, with extraordinary abilities. Not a single one could be taken lightly.
It seemed that this time, securing the Green Wood Spring wouldn't be an easy feat.
"Top Ten Young Masters, Mo Yu has arrived!"
A voice rang out from the crowd, and immediately, the onlookers erupted in excited shouts!
Though Niu Wuliu was strong, his appearance as a bull-headed man had never been popular. But Mo Yu? He was different. Born of the Dark Elves, Mo Yu was strikingly handsome. His sun-kissed skin, paired with his cool demeanor, drove the women wild.
"Mo Yu! Ahhhhh!!"
"Mo Yu! I want to marry you!"
"Mo Yu! I'll be your slave!"
Amid the fanatical cries, Ronald couldn't help but think to himself, "I'm so envious."
Just as the women were still lost in their excitement over Mo Yu, another big name arrived.
"Yang Tai is here!"
He was the twin star of the Elven race, the Light Elf, Yang Tai! His popularity even surpassed Mo Yu's. The crowd surged toward him like a tidal wave, with many of the participants waiting in line for the competition now rushing to catch a glimpse of the handsome Light Elf.
Ronald watched as the line ahead of him nearly emptied.
"Good grief, this guy's popularity is insane!" he muttered to himself.
But in a way, this worked to his advantage. It saved him a lot of waiting time.
Moments later, he stood at the registration desk. An elderly Tiger Clan man glanced at him disdainfully, clearly unimpressed by his mismatched gear. Without a word, the old man gestured sharply and said, "Pay your fee, then press your hand on this stone."
Ronald handed over a bag of gold coins, then pressed his hand down. The stone, which had been dark as night, gradually turned light green, and patterns began to emerge on its surface. He raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
"Sixteen rings, you're eligible. Now, write your name."
The old man pointed to a nearby wooden bucket. "Draw your number."
Each participant had to draw a number tag to determine their group. Ronald drew number eighty-one, and the back of the token had the character "三" written on it, indicating he was in the third group.
After leaving the registration area, Ronald glanced at the remaining excited crowd still clamoring for the stars. He walked toward the arena.
The venue resembled an ancient Roman coliseum, with five grand fighting stages inside. Ronald's third group was assigned to the central stage for the competition.
Although the tournament wouldn't begin until the afternoon, the arena was already filling up. Ronald and his Hunter squad were looking for a place to sit when they ran into some familiar faces.
"Ronald! I knew you'd show up!" Qin Ji and his entourage approached. Though Ronald was clad head-to-toe in black armor, the "Ming" insignia on his chest was unmistakable.
Li Haotian eyed his number tag and sneered.
"Third group, huh? Looks like I'll have the chance to teach you a lesson soon."
Ronald ignored him, instead turning his attention to Princess Qin Xue. He grinned and asked, "Your Highness, still hurting?"
"Y-You…" Qin Xue flushed as memories of yesterday rushed back. She stomped her foot in frustration, fuming, "Pervert! Just wait! You'll soon see what we're capable of!"
Ronald burst out laughing.
The heavy armor rattled as he laughed, his eyes nearly disappearing beneath the helmet. The sight was comical.
Mia, unable to contain herself, stifled a giggle behind her hand.
