Impossible to Resist

Ava abruptly turned her head away, her eyes widening in alarm. "What are you doing?"

"What do you think?" Liam pinched her delicate chin, his tone nonchalant. "We're obviously not here to discuss calculus."

Ava pressed her fingers against his jaw, stopping him from getting closer to her lips. "You said we were getting a divorce."

"But at the hospital, you said you changed your mind."

"That was just to provoke Sophia!"

His deep gaze locked onto hers. "Well, I took it seriously."

Ava lowered her lashes. "I don't want this right now."

Liam raised an eyebrow. "Who was seducing me just now?"

"I wasn't—! I just… I just…" Ava stammered, her cheeks flushing crimson. The blush crept down her neck to her wrists, like a winter-blooming begonia—innocence and allure intertwined, utterly irresistible.

Liam gently brushed his thumb over her soft lips and murmured, "You're absolutely captivating right now."
