Chapter 4: Kiss?
"Finally" the guys said, excited to be back home.
"Guys" Biance yelled and immediately the excited chatter stopped as everyone turned to face her,
"I just wanna say thank you so very much, this was the best bachelorette party ever and I'm so glad i have such wonderful friends" she added
"The wedding about to be better" someone in the crowd said and everyone and everyone agreed with cheers,
"Makesure to leave a message when you arrive" jacob called out bidding everyone farewell as he watched them leave to get a cab or wait outside for their drivers
"Ji and chole, Seth will drive you home okay" Bianca said giving both of them a hug before she and jacob started loading their suitcases in their car trunk
"Oh no it's ok-" before she could reject the offer, seth was already dragging her luggage away
"Looks whose being a gentleman" chole teased as she walked along, Jian muttered some curse words under her breath before following along
"Gentle man my foot" she whispered but both of them heard her, chole decided not to comment on that and just looked at the two back and fort, they always had this beef between them and for some reason always getting at each other's throat but this time the atmosphere was a bit ambiguous, she was going to secretly take a photo but then she realized her phone was with Bianca when she borrowed it to send the videos and photos to her phone
"Dang it" she cursed getting both jian and Seth's attention who were putting the bags in the trunk and arguing
"What" jian asked
"Forgot my phone with bianca, one minute please" she explained running off,
"Put my luggage ontop" jian insisted, why was her suitcase down and he's unto of hers, no way was he showing he was superior, gentle man much she sneered
"Ha!!" Seth scoffed, this girl was really too much her suitcase was heavier so it was only logical he put it down first plus he had a vase in his which was breakable
"No" he refused, he didn't even give her the explanation why his was untop of hers which could have just ended this whole bickering but if he did they won't be bickering, having these bickering sessions was the highlights of his days since he meet her
"Wait, actually about today-" he began but before he could finish his sentence she let go of his hand she was holding and ran to the car, getting in and shutting the down from the inside
"What the-" Seth was left stunned, he thought she'll hit him with a witty comment or pretend she didn't remember or be sassy about it but it didn't even cross his mind she'll run off like that, he couldn't help chuckling
"Hello" he called knocking on the glass window to which jian ignored as if she didn't hear anything
"Fine, i wouldn't talk abou it" he promised to which jian looked at him a bit skeptical
"Promise" she said bringing her pinkie to the window, Seth couldn't help but smile, she looked too cute for her own good, what was he thinking, of course it was just a spur of the moment for her and that kiss was just a drunken mistake, he shouldn't take it too literally, he couldn't help though but feel a little ach in his heart, which surprised him but he just brushed it off.
"Promise" he agreed bringing he's pinkie to the window, jian took a deep breath before unlocking the doors, immediately he got in and took a seat he leaned back to look at her
"Why did you kiss me though" he asked and jian turned looking at him like he broke a sacred oath and seth couldn't help but laugh, how was he just noticing how cute she was even when she wasn't drunk
"You said you couldn't ask" she screamed hiding her face behind her hands and seth couldn't help smiling
"Anyways you asked so" she coughed trying to act nonchalant
"Because you asked" she answered fake coughing some more
"So you'll kiss anybody that ask" Seth teased as he leaned forward towards her
"Ew-no" she answered with knitted brows
"Or is it because i asked" he asked again and jian couldn't help but want to slap him, he was too confident for his own good,
"Arrogant" she murmured under her breath but he heard it
"Heard that" he said with a smirk
"Of course at least you big ass ears come in handy" she responded with a smirk of her own which just made seth laugh more
"Okay, kiss me" he suddenly asked looking straight int her eyes which made her gulp, now the atmosphere was getting a little too steamy for her liking
"Are-are you crazy" she said with an awkward chuckle expecting him to say it was a joke but the guy just kept staring at her and leaning towards her, her brain was all muffled up, and she didn't even know what do or say, did she want him to kiss her, did she not want it, was she looking forward to it. because why is she subtly leaning towards him, was she going crazy
"You look like a rabbit" he randomly commented and he looked like a wolf, jian wanted to say but she just said
"That's stupid" blushing like a red tomato,
"Its cute" he complimented. She needed to see a doctor and where the hell was chole she has been gone like 3 or so minutes now, what if she comes now
"Hope she doesn't" she thought to herself and it surprised her, leaving her shocked, why she was even thinking like that. God did answer her prayer though because they heard chole's breathless voice
"Sorry guys, Bianca wasn't done sending" she apologized getting inside and immediately she noticed the weird atmosphere, jian was looking outside the window as if it was the most interesting sight even though it was just a waste like with dying weeds and the construction men cutting it off, probably to build something new there and the glare seth was giving her through the review mirror
"Okay- whats going on" she asked jian who immediately went into panick mode, okay she was definitely missing out on something she was sure now.
"Um nothing, just um was thinking, how the grass" she kept rambling on, the more chole stared at her the moment she continued about absolutely nothing that made sense
"Let's go to Cookie monster later" she said diverting the topic and that thankfully stopped chole's interrogating eyes and she started rambling on about their new cookies and flavors, jian couldn't help glare at the guy who was trying so hard to hold in his laughter through the review mirror, he winked at her when he noticed her glare which made her look away he didn't see her face but he could tell she was blushing by how red her ears were, which made him surprising very happy so happy her started to silently hum a song to himself while he drove. Twenty minutes later chole was already passed out, she didn't sleep on the bus nor plane so she was a bit sleepy the remaining two people in the car just kept stealing glances at each other through the review mirror until the reached their destination.
"Chlo" jian called shaking her to wake up, she streached and yarned
"We're here" jian information and she nodded
"Thanks Seth" she thanked as she got out, jian was about to step right after her but she felt her hand being held she panicked, what if chole saw them, why was she even worried about that, it wasn't like they were in a secret relationship of sort
"Are you free later" Seth asked and jian could feel like heart pumping she almost said yes until she remembered someone was coming back today
"Sorry, my best friend's coming back today, we made plans" she said
"Oh" seth nodded letting go of her hand, she pulled out a pen from her purse then grabbed his hand, he was confused but let her do as she pleased, she wrote her number and quickly got out, they've known eachother for almost half a year now and they didn't even have each others contact info, they really were enemies
"I'll call you" he mouthed when she got out and she just flipped her hair and walked away which got seth shaking his head and smiling,
"She's so dramatic" he said to himself before driving off
"Are you two dating" chole asked
"No" jian immediately denied and chole couldn't help but chuckle
"Of course, you already have lewis" she joked and jian couldn't help roll her eyes.
"Mom" she called out immediately they got inside, she knew where her mother was, she could smell the sweet aroma coming from the kitchen, and suddenly she felt hungry
"Sweethearts" she heard her mom's voice, she walked out of the kitchen with an apron and a pie
"Aunty" chole immediately ran to hug her, she suddenly turned into a baby
"Ah my baby" Susan said hugging her back before breaking a piece of the pie and feeding it to her, she moaned at how good it was, Susan was really the best cook ever, both their mom's meet in college they were in thesame sorority and the rest was history, they've been inseparable since so was their daughters
"Mom" jian whined,
"Oh come here" she said laughing she feed her a pie of pie too
"Now you girls go upstairs and clean up then come down for lunch" she said and they both nodded before heading upstairs to clean up
"I'll pack later" jian said pushing her suitcase to the side which chole mimicked before they threw themselves on the bed, they both kept silent one waiting for the other to start, suddenly Jian's phone rang and the girls sighed looks like they both weren't ready to let the cat out of the bag
"Someone come walk lilly" susan called from downstairs and chole immediately volunteered
"Hello" jian answered the phone, she didn't recognize the number, her heart was in her throat thinking it was Seth but then she heard the voice and let out a ear piercing screaming
"Lewis" she yelled before she could give him a piece of her mind about how he left her on read then proceeded to not even leave a 'i'm alive' so he could put his best friend's mind at ease, the door swung open and there he was in flesh and blood, a phone on his ear
"You little" she immediately grabbed a pillow to throw at him but he successfully dodged it but he still didn't escape her claws because she immediately pounced on him and the duo ended up on the floor and jian ontop of him, giving him a good beating which he took in good faith
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" he apologized he tried holding her hands but they were just swinging everywhere so he held her waist and tried carrying her off him
"I'll come back later" chole said with a smirk closing the door back
"Hey you" jian yelled but she could hear her little giggles as she ran away
"Come down the food is ready" she called before running off, that's when the two on the ground realized how intimate their position was, they immediately let go off each other and got up
"I'm not done with you" jian glared as she went out, why was that kinda awkward she thought as she smiled on her way down, she really missed that buffoon, he had to go to some robotics program stuff, nerd stuff so for about 3 months they had very little interaction of any sort, lewis who was left behind just leaned against the door with a smile for a while before he went down too
"Look whose finally joining us" chole teased and jian gave her a hit at the back of ber head
"Be nice" susan scolded and she pouted before taking her seat
"Oh, look at you lewis, you look so thin" susan complained as she filled his plate
"Eat,eat" she encouraged both jian and chole couldn't help but scowl, look at him happily hurding all the love and attention, he just smirked at them before he let susan feed him a piece of meat, jian lifted her hand to give him a beating but susan's glare made her retreat it with a forced smile, after lunch, susan let them clean up as she got ready to leave for her bookclub with her friends.
