Chapter 23: theme: 'triple date ride'
"This place looks full" jian said as she looked around excited, the different rides, the games, the show this place looked like fun
"How did you even find this" she asked but before ethan could answer he was dragged away to a game that caught her attention they joined the little crowd that formed to watch a little boy try to shot the moving toy mice to win one of the prizes, he unfortunately didn't win the big teddy he wanted, but he won a smaller one
"You tried sweetie" the boy's mom consoled when she noticed his sad expression, she asked him he wanted to go for another round but he declined and jian sighed a sigh of relief what if he came back and won her big teddy, no way. The one he won is cute enough, the next person played and failed miserably she got frustrated after 2 rounds and gave up by the time it was jian's turn the crowd her already left, looked like they were family members of the little boy and frustrated girl
"Wanna play miss" the game conductor asked and jian nodded enthusiastically. Ethan paid for her and she stated but soon her spirit died because she failed miserably twice but she still wanted to play again she had hope she was going to win. two more times and she wanted to give up, she couldn't even win the smallest teddy
"One more please" she pleaded, even the conductor almost told her to give up with her skills they'll sleep here and she wouldn't win anything but the more she played the more he earned so he just shut his mouth and waited for another round of cash because looked like the guy would do anything she wanted and she wanted to play
"Okay lemme help" Ethan said as he paid for another round
"I wanna do it" jian said pouting and Ethan chuckled,
"With your skill, we'll end up spending all our money here, come" he said pulling her closer instead of playing it himself he wanted to include her in the win so he sandwiched her between his arms, head on her shoulder as he put the gun machine in her hands then held her hands
"What are you doing" she asked wide eyed and ethan just smirked at her
"You want to lose again" he asked as she shook her head, he nodded as he tuned her head to focus and this scene was what mina saw when they walked in, truly the stars were in her favor, she didn't even set her plan in motion yet and everything was happening perfectly
"Isn't that jian and ethan" she said as she looked ahead pretended to be surprised that they were there together, Fiona and seth turned to their direction
"It is them" Fiona said. Seth looked at them and he felt like he couldn't look away, they were literally glued to each other, what was going on, he was jealous obviously and he knew it, if he was jealous then what happened after a few seconds made his blood boil, jian had won technically ethan but whatever, she immediately jumped up giving him a big hug as they handed her, her teddy bear. After winning she was bumped up with energy so she held his hand and dragged him to another game
"Awwn they look so cute" fiona commented as she chuckled, they did look cute though
"Aren't they together" mina asked and both girls got startled by Seth's loud answer
"No" he yelled when he noticed that was a bit weird he cleared he's throat and pretended that didn't happen
"What do you guys wanna do" he asked and they girls let it pass as Fiona listed all the games she wanted to play
"What about the mice Game, jian was at" mina suggested and fiona agreed, by this time jian and ethan had disappeared into the crowd. It took mina three tries before she won a little doll
"You have long nails on can you play" Seth asked Fiona who was cracking her knuckles as if she was ready to go to war, she hummed as she passed her bag to seth and ready she was it only took her one try and half the time for her to win the second biggest teddy bear, if the winning bear was there she was going to win she beat Ethan's score by 2 seconds
"Wow" seth and mina clapped impressed which made fiona proud
"Let's get cotton candy" she said as she walked towards the truck, they ordered three
"Lemme get that" seth said as he took the teddy bear from her so she could eat her sweet in confort, they ordered snacks as well before they found a bench and decided to take a rest and eat before they moved to the next game as for ethan and jian they were screaming at the top of their lungs as they enjoyed there ride
"Omg that was crazy" jian said as her Adeline was still pumping
"Right" ethan agreed and the two began laughing. This was truly one of her best experience, she was having the time of her life.
"We should get some snacks" jian suggested and ethan agreed, the moment they walked into a snack stall, they were immediately surrounded by the staff which made them a little scared
"Congrats, you're the 5th couple today and since today is our 5 years anniversary the first 5 couples get a couple pack" one of them announced and the others started cheering
"Are you guys dating" one of them asked, Ethan was about to deny it because he didn't want them to make jian uncomfortable but to his surprise, jian nodded excited was it the Adeline from the ride that was doing stuff to her brain, either way he liked it
"Good" the staff said in chorus as they clapped
"You'll have to give him a kiss" one of them said and jian started questioning her decision, she only said yes because of what the note she saw on the table listing the things in the package, there was matching pjs, shoes, water bottles, and most importantly a love teddy bear which was twice the size of teddy she won and cash. Well she came this far might as well, when ethan saw her go quite he sighed so much for hope he was about to rectify the mistake but what happened next made his heart beat in his ears, he heard ringing in his heart, did he go to heaven, he bet that moment he could smell color because jian had actually pecked him he was so out of it that he didn't hear when she acted all shy and said
"We're like a new couple so I'm shy" the staff teased her saying they understood before handing her, her package
"We won" she whispered to ethan who finally came to his sense and realized they took a seat and we're waiting for the snacks, when did the even get there.
"Did you peck me" he whispered as if it was a sacred oath not to be uttered, jian nodded as she excitedly counted her money it was a total of $2k
"You shouldn't do that" he muttered but jian still heard it, she slit the money and asked
"Why, you're my best friend" as she handed him he's share
"Even so" he mumbled when he saw her sorry expression, he didn't want this to change her happy mood so he snatched the share she was handing him
"Don't go around pretending guys are your boyfriend" he jokingly warned and jian nodded, her best friend was back she knew what she did was insensitive she didn't think it through
"And no kissing other guys" he added and she nodded with a smile
"When it's me, it's fine" he added and jian laughed, after they ate their snacks they strolled around chatting
"Woah, we're really just seeing these two" mina said as the group found a place to seat, they just came back from a ride and Fiona was feeling dizzy so they sat down to relax, seth looked up and saw jian laughing about something ethan said, she was laughing so hard she held her stomach. He couldn't help himself smile she's so pretty it's crazy was that his love speaking, he didn't care she was the prettiest woman to him.
"Ugh" Fiona groaned which immediately caught back he's attention, she was actually fine after drinking some water and sitting for a bit but when he caught seth staring with a smile at that jian girl she didn't like it, so when she groaned to get his attention she was satisfied, she could still get he's focus on her, she wasn't totally at the losing end that was what mattered
"You okay" he asked worried
"Do you want more water" mina said as she opened the bottle, she drank a little more to play into the pretend. she observed jian until she was out of sight before she sat up
"I'm fine guys, stop fuzzing" she said with a smile after seth insisted she sit some more and clear her head she did and few minutes in, they finalized it was okay for her to move now so they walked around taking photos and having fun
"Let's go to that ride" Fiona said and seth gave her the side eye, didn't she almost past out after the other ride
"It's the slow one" she explained and seth sighed he knew he wouldn't hear enough of it, if he didn't go with her plus that ride was indeed the slow one, it's called 'triple date' because six people max can seat on it.
"Okay fine" he agreed and the girls squealed. Ethan and jian also happened to want to join another ride but the lines were too long and the only one they found that had a small line was the 'triple date'.
"But its so slow" jian complained as Ethan dragged her over
"It's gonna be fun" he said trying to convince the unwilling jian, she looked at the 'high volcano ride' which had at least 80 or so people on the line before she sighed and agreed.
"Here" ethan said as he joined the line and pulled jian to stand Infront of him they were the last people, how the line worked at the 'triple date' was that it was two lines one on the left and ride and the ride cars were in the middle so seth, mina and Fiona didn't see ethan and jian until it was their turn, they were the last people
"It five total so get in" the conductor said and jian almost tripped at fell when she saw Seth climb in, but thanks to both boys she didn't fall, ethan who was behind her held her by the waist stopping her fall while seth held her hand and pulled her up.
"Oh hey" ethan said trying to sound nice, he was beginning to regret why he insisted on this ride
" Seat belts on" the conductor said and the group fastened their belts
"Hey ethan" mina waved winking at him and he smiled back, he was going to give her a special thanks later, her idea was really the best
"Um hello" jian said trying not to sound awkward, she knew it, this ride wasn't the one, now look at the awkward situation they landed in. She side eyed Ethan who gave her a 'i'm sorry' smile
"Hey jian" mina waved and seth just smiled at her, why does she feel like he was upset or something was he jealous she thought to herself but shook her head off that thought she smiled back at him, she turned to Fiona but the girl's glare stunned her, what the hell was happening she stilll gave her a polite smile which she returned but it didn't look very polite rather forced
"Fiona you met jian already, this is ethan her Best friend" mina introduced
"This is Fiona my best friend" she added, ethan and fiona exchanged some pleasantries and the ride continues. It was the the most awkward 5 minutes ever.
