Chapter 16: New Target

Aki sits there for a few moments before he finally decides to give an answer. "Yes there's a new target. I'm not sure if it's something Nori is ready for yet." Aki says while staring at Nori.

I feel like I've been doing a pretty good job so far but I don't think Aki understands the power I have yet. I'm not really in a position to argue with his judgement on this.

Personally I've definitely struggled a bit with the first fight but I'm not entirely sure about the second one. I believe I handled that one a lot better than the first one.

I'm slowly getting over a lot of the nervousess with all of this which is good, but there's a lot I need to learn. Originally we went into that library so I could learn about my power more and about prophets in general.

That ended with us going to another world which wasn't a terrible thing since I got another girl by my side now.

A bit of anger is followed behind her words. "He's definitely ready and capable." Rika speaks with an angry expression on her face.

Ready and capable? I would like to think I am but we don't even know what the rank is of this thing. I've fought against a decently high rank of these monsters right?

Aki stood up from his chair. "Beating two low ranking monsters doesn't mean rest and capable. I have faith in Nori, don't get me wrong but he's got to get more experience before taking on higher ranking monsters." Aki speaks with a harsh tone in his voice.

Nori didn't really know how to react to this since he knew that Aki wasn't wrong for saying this. He lacks experience and barely managed to do anything with his fights so far.

He also doesn't know much about his power yet so there is a lot of missing strength that he could use for these fights.

"He's got the two of us to help him and to train him." Rina speaks up with a serious look in her eyes.

"You are both strong which is a fact, fine. I'll give you the target but it's not an immediate threat yet. Train him a bit more first." Aki instructs before leaving the room.

Training from the two of them will definitely go a long way so this is the next best thing to do. Becoming strong enough to save the world would be the smart thing to do.

Like in games you have to level up to get stronger or to unlock certain things. It's time for me to level up as well.

"We won't waste any time then, right Rika?" Rina says while looking over at her.

Rika gives an annoyed look over to her before responding. "Nope. Let's go." Rika responds with an annoyed tone in her voice.

Nori followed them back to the training room that they used before since that was the best place for them. He was slowly getting used to the idea of being a prophet more by the day.

He had a long way to go if he wanted to save the world though, it's not an easy job fighting against these monsters all the time. He also hasn't had the chance to meet the rest of the people that work under Aki.

"Rest for a bit and then we'll train. It's important to have all the energy you can." Rina instructs him before heading into a different room.

"You got it." Nori says quietly while realizing she was already gone.

Rika disappeared as well so I guess it's up to me to rest for a bit until they are ready to start training. I can rest but laying around doing nothing feels kind of dumb.

Nori dropped to the floor and started doing push ups and sit ups for awhile until he couldn't anymore. Deep down he knew that physical strength would always be good to have so it doesn't hurt to keep up with it.

Working out isn't that hard to do, nor is it that hard for me to keep up with. There's no video games here for me to play so I have a lot more focus than usual.

Becoming strong is quite a goal to have since I never thought I'd fight against monsters in the first place. At least there's plenty of beautiful girls around me to support me and help me out.

I didn't have that back when I was home all the time playing games so this is definitely a nice upgrade.

He began to practice the fighting techniques that Rika showed him before he fought the scout. Keeping up with everything was definitely important so that he'd never fall behind on anything.

Nori was definitely starting to understand that he couldn't just mess around with this whole thing.

I don't see my personality changing all that much with all this going on but I definitely need to be able to take things seriously. It was always a struggle to do that, except for games.

A couple of hours go by.

Rika peeks through the door and notices Nori is still practicing his fighting techniques. "He's definitely grown quite a bit from when I first met him." Rika thinks to herself.

She gives him a few more minutes before opening up the door. "You ready for some training?" Rika asks with a smile on her face.

Nori turns to face her, a bit of sweat going down his face. "I do need to get stronger so of course!" Nori responds enthusiastically.

He follows her out into the main room where Rina is already waiting for the two of them. She appears to be sitting on the ground against the wall reading a book of some sort.

"He definitely needs to learn more about his power." Rina speaks up wimhile just barely shifting her eyes away from her book.

Learning more about my power would be nice
