Nori disappeared before Rika and Rina's eyes but he still appears to be in the same room as the mystery figure.
"So what if I choose to sacrifice my fingers or my hand?" Nori asks.
The figure turns away from him as it takes a few steps. "You don't seem to be taking this serious." The Mysterious figure says with an annoyed tone in its voice.
I probably sound pretty dumb asking about using my fingers or hand as a sacrifice but it didn't specify it. Maybe it's not a worthy sacrifice so something better would need to be recommended.
"What would be better to do then?" Nori asks with a bit of panic in his voice.
I don't want to miss out on this opportunity to gain access to my power so surely it'll suggest something better.
"Memories or one of your eyes would suffice." The mysterious figure answers with a serious tone.
There was an ominous feeling to this being as it spoke to him but Nori tried to ignore it for now. He was now stuck with a decision on what to give it but was it really going to be worth it?
An eye can be a pretty good gamble since the deal doesn't specify what will happen to the eye exactly.
"I'll give you my left eye." Nori says with a bit of hesitation at first.
Giving up anything is going to suck here but I have to think about the long road since this means I can save the world. Heroes make sacrifices and I can't be one without making those decisions.
The figure begins to laugh uncontrollably as it disappears and reappears right before Nori. "I'll take this then." The Figure says while beginning to touch Nori's eye.
Squelch. Drip. Nori begins to shout in pain as his eye is removed from his face, blood begins to drip all over from where it was. His hand was already on his face, trying to handle the unbearable pain from his eye being torn out.
F**k! This hurts so damn much, why did I actually think it was a good idea to give it my damn eye. Maybe it wouldn't have been as painful if I gave it my memories or something instead.
"A fair trade indeed." It says while holding his eye.
The mysterious figure moves his hand out of the way, he could feel a strange sensation from the beings hand. It was almost comforting for him, the warm sensation he felt. Was this person really this foul?
"I'm a little crazy but I think we'll have a good relationship together." The Mysterious figure speaks once calm.
He feels the pain going away as the blood stops dripping from his socket. "What did you do to make it better?" Nori asks with a worried tone.
It's hair could slowly be seen forming before suddenly disappearing. "Just gave you one of mine in exchange. It'll take time to learn how to use a bit of my power but you got grit. You want more of it, you ask when we speak again." The Mysterious figure responds before walking a few steps into the distance.
Nori feels his arm reach out instinctively for some reason. "I don't even know what to call you." Nori says
The Figure doesn't really say much before disappearing. Nori then realizes that he's back in the room with Rika and Rina. He looked down at his hands to see that the blood was gone.
I know I didn't imagine any of that, it all felt real so what happened? The dragon thing didn't even give me its name so how am I supposed to know what to call it when we speak?
"Nori are you okay?" Rika asks with a bit of concern in her voice.
My eye is still here too. This is all really weird but maybe a look in the mirror would help tell me if anything was the same.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just give me a second quick." Nori responds before running for the bathroom.
After he enters the bathroom he notices that his eyes are exactly the same as they have always been.
The pain I felt when it got ripped out of my socket before was a lot, there's no way I could've imagined any of that. It just doesn't make any sense why I don't see any differences after the exchange.
Creek. The door opens up behind him as Rina pops in. "Are you really okay? Something felt off about you." Rina asks with a bit of concern in her voice.
My head is going every which way right now so I don't even know if I could say that I'm okay in any way. They did say I had to learn how to use it and that I was only getting a portion of it right?
I'll have to learn during my training or during a real battle or something. That might be the fastest way to see if I have anything at all.
Some awakening this was.
"I'm okay, just a little tired." Nori answers while wiping his face.
I don't really have a way to explain anything to them about this right now since it would sound insane. Actually I don't know how insane it would sound since Rina worked with a prophet in the past and Rika understands a good bit about prophets.
But this isn't just a prophet thing I guess.
Nori goes past Rina and makes his way for the bedroom to get some rest. Plop. Thump. He falls onto the bed and looks to the wall as he tries to understand everything.
Sacrifice is something I'll have to get used to one way or another so maybe it was a good idea. I'm just not sure what's happening now since it feels as if nothing even happened.
My eyes were normal, there's no noticeable changes so it makes me feel like I went crazy.
Thump. Thump. He can feel his heart racing.
