Maria's eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness, and she saw that John was staring at the door. She followed his gaze, and that's when she saw it: a figure standing in the doorway, silhouetted by the faint light from the hallway.
The figure didn't move or speak but maria could feel its presence, like a cold breeze on a winter night. She felt a shiver run down her spine as the figure slowly stepped forward, it's figure becoming clearer with each step.
It was a woman, tall and imposing, with piercing green eyes that seems to bore into Maria's soul. Her long, dark hair cascaded down like a waterfall of night, and her presence seems to fill the entire room.
"Who are you?" Maria asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
The woman didn't respond, but instead, she walked slowly towards the map, her eyes fixed on the cryptic symbols. Maria and John exchanged nervous glances, unsure of what to do
As the woman reached the map, she raised her hand and touched the surface, her fingers tracing the symbols with a gentle, almost reverent touch.
Suddenly, the lights flickered back to life, and the room was bathed in a warm, golden glow. The woman turned to face Maria and John, her eyes gleaming with otherworldly intensity.
"I'm Konaq," she said, her voice low and husky. "And i have come to guide you on your journey."
Maria and John exchanged a sceptical glance, unsure of what to make of Konaq's claim. But as they looked into her eyes, they say something there that made them hesitate, something that hinted at secrets and mysteries beyond their wildest imagination.
"What journey?" Maria asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Konaq smiled, her eyes glinting with a knowing light. "The journey into the unknown," she said. "The journey to the lost city."
As Konaq spoke, the room seems to fade away, and Maria felt herself being pulled into a world of ancient secrets and hidden mysteries. She knew that she was standing on the threshold of an adventure that would change her life forever.
