Kaisel rarely returned to the family's main house in the city center. He had his own apartment near his company's office. However, when their parents were still alive, he would make time to come home for Yoru.

Yoru lived in the main house, sometimes cared for by the Nanny who had served their family since Yoru was born. Other times, Kaisel would take care of him during his breaks from filming.

Their parents were only around once a month, and even then, it was for a short time. However, they loved Yoru and always inquired about his well-being through Kaisel.

Like most parents, they wanted to spend time with their children, but their busy schedules were not something they could neglect.

The family business had grown to a conglomerate scale and was ranked globally in international business magazines.

With such a large scale and so many employees relying on the company, their parents couldn't manage it haphazardly.

Thus, their youngest child, Yoru, was left in the care of the Nanny and Kaisel.

As for Reina, their only daughter and second child, she was cared for by family relatives and spent most of her time abroad with her own fashion design business.

She had appeared in fashion magazines showcasing her world-renowned designs. Reina, who had been cared for by relatives since she was 15, only returned home once a year.

It wasn't that she didn't care for her siblings. She would sometimes check on them, especially Yoru. Meanwhile, her relationship with Allen was like that of strangers, and she found Kaisel problematic.

According to Reina, Yoru was the only normal one in their family, so she showered him with affection.

Now, the usually quiet family home was a bit livelier.

Allen and Reina greeted mourners and handled their parents' will. They held a small reception for family relatives while waiting for Kaisel and Yoru to arrive.

In a long-sleeved black dress, Reina stood on the family meeting room balcony. She gazed into the distance with a complicated expression.

She checked her body again, suppressing the discomfort in her heart.

Reina murmured in confusion, "Was it just a dream? It was too painful to be just a dream. Shouldn't I be dead? Have I gone back in time?"

She recalled the horrifying event in her dream, where she was dismembered by a serial killer. It was excruciatingly painful, and she was sure she could become a vengeful ghost due to the agony.

However, when she woke up in the cemetery, the painful feeling gradually faded, leaving only confusing memories.

If it wasn't just a dream, then it could only mean she had returned to the past while still alive.

Reina saw her hands trembling, feeling severely traumatized. Her sunset-colored eyes were tinged with darkness.

She clenched her fists and spoke with deep hatred, "Elaine!"

She could hardly control her fluctuating emotions, the hatred seeping deep into her heart. It was unimaginable how painful it was to see her family destroyed and to be killed herself.

At that moment, she heard the front gate open and saw Kaisel's black car in the distance. Instantly, Reina's hatred was suppressed, and she calmed down.

"Yoru ...." Reina couldn't hate her own brother. It wasn't his fault that Elaine was brought into their family.

She didn't know what had happened to him after she was killed; clearly, Elaine wouldn't have left him unscathed.

"Yoru was also framed... Who could have guessed such an innocent figure had a devil's heart?"

Reina managed to calm herself; her mental resilience was so strong that she hadn't gone mad long ago when tortured by her aunt.

She turned away from the balcony and walked towards the door to greet her siblings.

...

Yoru opened his eyes, wondering how he had fallen asleep. Perhaps because of the warmth and comfort provided by his brother, he had finally relaxed.

He was still in that warm embrace and felt reluctant to leave it. However, he realized they had arrived home.

The car they were in had been parked for a while, apparently waiting for him to wake up.

Meanwhile, his brother gently patted him and said, "You're awake? Let's go inside."

Yoru nodded and was about to move, but his brother held him back. He tilted his head, looking at Kaisel in confusion.

Kaisel's mouth twitched at the sight of his cute little brother. He cleared his throat and explained, "You don't need to get out, I'll carry you."

Yoru should have felt embarrassed to be treated like this, but for some reason, he didn't want to refuse.

Maybe his small body also affected his mind. He was a child again. He was no longer the lonely adult man.

Seeing no rejection, Kaisel happily got out of the car while carrying him.

His assistant, who was also his driver, walked beside him, carrying several documents for the family lawyer.

The bodyguard cars also entered the gate, and a group of people in black suits got out, following their master.

If Yoru didn't know better, he might have thought they were family bodyguards attending the mourning event. However, he knew they were Kaisel's subordinates.

His brother dealt with something beyond his understanding. Underworld business that no one dared to mess with.

His busyness was not just as a film actor; he had many unknown activities that made the relatives more afraid of him than the family head.

Kaisel had no interest in fighting for the family inheritance, so he came to hand over his share to take Yoru to live with him.

Bringing those bodyguards was to prevent attacks from his enemies and also to lure them out.

The relatives, seeing him arrive with those men in black suits, had bitter expressions on their faces. Clearly, they wouldn't dare interfere with Kaisel in fighting for Yoru's care.

Reina walked out of the crowd to greet him.

She smiled and immediately spoke without hesitation, "Give Yoru to me, he must miss me more."

Kaisel's expression turned grim. He stepped back and replied, "No, he belongs to me."

Reina's mouth twitched. She stared at Kaisel, silently cursing him.

"Are you crazy?" she whispered through clenched teeth.

Yoru pretended not to hear their argument. He also didn't dare to look at his sister. His guilt towards her made him feel uneasy.

Reina glanced at him and realized her little Yoru didn't want to see her. Despite her aching heart, she maintained her composure and let them in.

Kaisel wore a mocking expression. He passed Reina and whispered close to her, "Didn't you already know I was crazy?"

Reina suddenly felt a chill. It was a familiar feeling, one she had experienced when near death.

She immediately turned and stared at Kaisel's retreating back.

"He ...." Reina struggled to find the words to describe it, but she certainly felt that Kaisel was far more terrifying than Elaine.
