The Lost Classroom

Vaidik was sleeping and dreaming about a romantic life with his crush. The dream turned black, and the scene cut to ants crawling out of a bill - horror ants, at that. His dream turned black for a second, and when it started again, he saw humans getting transmuted and becoming hungry for others, with civilization getting destroyed and fire almost everywhere.

Cars were crashed, and blood was spilled everywhere. The dream turned black and switched to his romantic dream, but it was a horror romantic dream. His crush became one of the predators. He woke up sweating all over the bed and breathing restlessly. His alarm bell started ringing five seconds after he woke up.

It was 6:30 in the morning. His younger brother came to call Vaidik for breakfast, but he didn't hear a thing his brother said. Then came the voice of his mother calling for breakfast; she said, "If you don't come down, I'll come up." Vaidik hurried, brushed his teeth, and went for breakfast.

His father was there, reading the newspaper and having a bread omelet. He asked Vaidik, "How's your school going?" Vaidik replied, "Not bad." His mother was washing dishes and said in an angry but caring voice, "Always coming late, don't blame me if you die of starvation." Vaidik apologized in a funny voice.

Then he changed into his school uniform. Vaidik was a high schooler, age 17, studying in St. Paul's Senior Secondary School. He put on his shoes and ran to school. There were cherry blossoms blooming, and small clouds in the sky. Vaidik ran from under the cherry blossom trees to the train passage.

The train was coming, so he jogged where he waited for the train to pass. The train passed, and he started running. On his way to school, he found his friend and said good morning and started running. He saw his crush for a moment and started running. He entered school and greeted the guard.

He was on duty to arrange benches today, so he got to school before anyone else. As he had arranged the last bench, a group of boys came into the classroom. Vaidik wrapped his hands around two of them and asked, "How've you been, pals?" And all started laughing. Vaidik had always been funny, even when stating the obvious.

He was good in sports and above average in studies. Now all the students had come and seated themselves. The homeroom teacher, Lalit Sir, also came in. Everyone stood and greeted him. Lalit told everyone to sit down, but today's first period was games. They all went down and got keys for football and basketball and started playing.Boys played football, and girls played basketball. Vaidik and others started the game. Anik assembled his team and assigned positions to his teammates. Tejas, as always, followed Anik like a servant. Vaidik then complimented Dheeraj as Einstein's son because of his intelligence.

Dheeraj became the goalkeeper and was studying while at it. Manan then kicked the ball to the goal post, and Anmol, who was the pretty boy of the class, caught it, but the ball pushed him into the post. Vaidik said Manan was the strongest in the class for sure.

Then Vaidik looked at Saksham, who was fooling around, and asked, "You got rabies?" Everyone laughed maniacally. Meanwhile, girls were playing basketball. Anshika was about to score, but Suhani got in her way. She was taller than most adult males.

And the ball went to Keshvi, who was the beauty queen of the class. She dribbled past Bhumika and did a two-pointer. Pavni, looking at Keshvi, was jealous because Keshvi was better than her in everything. Kirti was delicate and not interested in sports.

About now, dark clouds had covered the sky. The bell rang, and the games period was over. Vaidik's team won with a score of 5-2. They celebrated and lifted Manan into the sky. In basketball, Keshvi's team won with a score of 12-4; none cared.

As the games period ended, the students trooped back to the classroom, exhausted but exhilarated from the excitement. But as they settled into their seats, a sense of unease settled over the room. The air seemed to vibrate with an ominous energy, like the quiet before a storm.

Vaidik noticed that the windows, once bright and sunny, now seemed to loom like dark, empty eyes, staring back at him. And then, without warning, the lights began to strobe wildly. The students exchanged nervous glances as the atmosphere grew heavier, more oppressive.

It started with small things: a dropped pencil rolled ominously across the floor, a book creaked open by itself. The students' laughter and chatter died away, replaced by a terrified silence. Something was coming, something dark and evil, and it was almost here.

Suddenly Vaidik remembered his dream, the end of civilization, blood all over, cars crashed, people devouring each other, and seeing the condition of the atmosphere around him, he was filled with a feeling of fear. All these thoughts were sending chills down Vaidik's spine.

While at the entrance gate, the guard heard a voice that sounded familiar. Suddenly he realized that it was the voice of the only physics teacher in the whole school, Sourabh Sir. He said in broken words, "Help me," "Open the door," "They are coming," "Help." Banging loudly on the gate, "Open the freaking gate."

The guard thought he was joking, but opened the gate anyway. While opening, he said jokingly, "What's coming?" The moment he opened the gate, Sourabh rushed in and fell four kilometers away from the gate. The guard asked, "You okay?" and he was snatched away by a rotting hand to the outside, and a loud scream was heard.

Sourabh, frightened by what he saw, said, "Sorry, I am really really sorry" with tears in his eyes and started running. Moments later, Father Principal was handling some documents. The whole time, Father Principal was seeing a strange figure outside his office door.

For a while, he didn't bother to check, but after three minutes, he started hearing screaming and growling sounds. So he decided to check outside. He opened the office door and saw one of his female workers lying on the floor, her abdomen wide open, and a rotting ugly creature was sitting next to her, taking large bites of her body.

The rotting monster stumbled forward, one of its eyeballs popping out; it was fully covered in blood, its skin falling off, revealing black muscles underneath, as it let out a terrifying growl. Suddenly Father realized that the creature was none other than the school guard, who had now become a zombie.

Then Father moved his vision to the office; there, what he saw was something that was much worse than hell itself. All his employees - Ramprasad Sir, Jiss Sir, Johnson Sir, Sarita Mam, Shantilal Bhaiya - were dead, lying on the floor, being eaten up by the ugly creatures who were also wearing none other than the school workers.

The office room, which once looked all white, was now looking all red because of the blood stream. Terrified by the feeling of guilt that he could not save his fellow co-workers,Terrified by the feeling of guilt that he could not save his fellow co-workers, he froze there with a feeling of fear. Then he saw that one zombie was approaching him. He was not even able to move, so he decided that he should die along with his co-workers. But then he realized that he could at least save the remaining workers and students, so he decided to fight back.

And suddenly, a half-rotten hand that was covered with blood was on his shoulders, and then a zombie stabbed him in the shoulders with its fingers. Father was confused by all the pain and grief he was suffering, but he realized that he had to fight back to save the students and teachers. Father was a Karate black belt holder.

He pushed the zombie back, recovered his senses and posture, and kicked the zombie with blistering speed on the head; the zombie's head flew and crashed into the wall. Blood rained from its body, followed by a scream, and then it stopped moving. The scream seemed to attract other zombies.

Father breath heavenly after finishing the zombie. Blood dripped down his chin. He started to move in the direction of other classes to won them about the danger but he took one step and screamed in pain. His foot was broken . His shoulder was also getting infected He realised that there was not much time before he too will turn into zombie. So he decided to kill as much zombie as possible. About now other zombies had surrounded him. He stood upon is broken foot feeling lesser pain, and then their fight being started.

Father Principal's eyes flashed with a fierce purple aura as he dashed towards the zombies. His pupils vanished, replaced by an unsettling emptiness. With a sudden action, he launched himself at the ugly monsters

"No matter what, I will protect my students and workers! We will not fall! We will rise!" he roared, his voice echoing through the hall.

A purple aura burst forth from his eyes, illuminating the darkening room. With swift, deadly precision, he took down the first zombie with a lightning-fast kick, its head shattering on the floor.

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but the will to act in the face of it!" he shouted, as he disarmed another zombie and used its own arm to hit other zombies.

The zombies closed in, their rotting bodies and sharp teeth showing how hungry they were. Father Principal jumped and came into action , his fists moving making jokes to their relentless hunger. Father Principal took down three more with a flurry of punches, their bodies crumbling beneath his feet.

"In the darkest moments, we find our greatest strength!" he cried, as he dodged a zombie's attack and countered with a devastating elbow strike.

The zombies attacked him with with multiversal power, their numbers seemingly endless. Father Principal stumbled back, his vision blurring, but still he fought on.

With a fierce battle cry, he launched himself at the remaining zombies, his purple aura blazing with intensity. He took down five more with a combination of kicks and punches, their bodies shattering on the floor.

The final zombie marched at him, its jaws wide open. Father Principal stood firm, his eyes burning with determination.

"We will not be defeated!" he shouted, as he grasped the zombie's head and twisted it with a deadly precision, its neck being crushed

Exhausted, Father Principal stumbled back, his vision blurring. His purple aura flickered and died, leaving him vulnerable and weak.

But still, he stood tall, his eyes burning with determination.

"We...will...survive..." he said . As the fight was over father principle felt that he was on the verge of death but before that he could still do something for other's sake. He thought that before his unable to move he should kill some more zombies in order to buy some moon time for other peoples but his body was not in that condition. Therefore he decided to help in some other way. There was an alarm in his office room from which he could announce anything. He decided that he should won the students about the danger as he tried to stand up in order to announce about the situation his eyes got blur and things started to flash before his eyes as the memory of your life flashes before your eyes when you are about to die . But the memories doesn't seemed to Father like It was his memories . In the memories there was sound of birds, everything was beautifully green, the sky was blue with some clouds and sun shine brightly. The memories were of a person who seemed to be a farmer. "Ramu honey... Come the breakfast is ready" called his wife . " I will come after feeding the cow darling " . Ramu was the farmer. Ramu pig Sun grass from his grass storage and started to go in the direction where his cow was sleeping. As he was going, the weather seemed to look darker than before as the brides and which was shining on his head was not there because it was covered by the dark clouds . I feel reached the place where is cow was sleeping, the expressions of his face changed as is so that his cow was looking very much pale. The cow's skin look very much blue. He thought it might be because of hunger so he scattered the grass infant of the cow but it was not eating it and suddenly he saw some blue ants, bunch of blue ants crawling behind the cows head. To check from where the ants where coming, he moved his neck in the direction of the city, but what he saw left his body speechless, frozen at the point where he was standing.

Ramu's eyes widened in terror as he saw a sea of zombies stumbling toward his sweet home. Over a hundred twisted creatures, their faces were looking very ghastly .Their empty eyes glowed with hunger, skin hanging off their bones like ripped cloth. Arms hanging in the air like flexible ropes , mouths open in a mindless scream. The air shook with their unending roar, a chilling fear froze Ramu's blood. They were coming for the him, unstoppable.Ramu's vision blurred, consumed by sheer horror. The zombies' moans grew louder, closer.Death was marching toward him!!!

Ramu thought that it was it , but suddenly motivation flew in his whole body. " I have my wife and my two sons, if not for me I have to do it for them. I have to save them" . He dash toward his hut and in the way his two sons were playing. He without even a single thought grabbed them and ran to his hut . As he reached his hut, he told everything to his wife and both the sons about what he saw and that all three of them should hide and he would alone fight them. The children's cryingly denied, but Ramu locked them in the hut that was made up of woods. He to his wife did she should run in the direction of school to call someone for some help but she denied, she said if they have to die, she would die along with him . By now all the zombies had surrounded them. One zombie attacked his wife but Ramu gave him a super kick by which his head was thrown away. But it was not it, suddenly to zombies crashed Ramu from the back sticking their bones and his neck and cold him but his wife grabbed him and pushed the zombies away. But there was a rain, blood rain coming down from ramu's neck and he stumbled on the ground. As his wife so what has happened she now understood that she has to save him now. The wife kicked the zombies away, pushed them and even slapped them. But all this had no effects on the zombies the eventually grabbed her. 10 to 12 zombies were hanging on her body scratching her, pulling her body and even took one of her eyeballs out. In her last words, she said " Maybe in another life I would again laugh and enjoy with you as we used to do . But in this one I'll pass smiling and knowing that I did it all with you "

Ramu's eyes widened in pain and tears rain down his face. He said " why all this is happening to me? What wrong have I done to get such a pain? I am just an ordinary farmer, then why all this ? " He grew more angry and angry seeing those ugly creatures who were now marching towards where his children's were. He tried to stood up but he failed but he didn't gave up , he started to crawl . The zombies were now trying to break the wooden house from where the sound of crying children's was coming. Ramu picked the sickle that was lying on the ground and aimed for the zombie and threw it . The sickle hitted the zombie on a part which was looking a little odd form the rest of the body . The part was on the skin underneath where the heart is . The part looked like a pulpy circle which looked like an eye made up of ugly pulp . As the sickle hitted the that eye , the zombie gave a loud scream and collapsed on the ground . Ramu found it a little odd , as all the zombies he attacked before were not dying but this one did . Tamu realised that it was it , it was there weak spot . Ramu thought that now he can kill them all so he again tried to stand up , but this time he stood with his legs trembling and shaking . But by the time when he gathered his courage , the zombies had surrounded thier Hut . He gave a loud scream and started to run towards the zombies . He picked two sickles . Zombies , many zombies came in his way but he fought them . He cutted the zombies hands , legs , ears, nose, eyes and even their heads but then also they were moving and were not dead . So, now he instead of the other body parts he attacked their weak spots , The Eye . Loud screams came and the zombies were lying dead on the ground a there eye was attacked this time . Eventhough the number of zombies was decreasing slowly, he didn't lost his hope of surviving.

As he was fighting, he saw that the zombies had gathered around his house. Both of his boys were hiding their but the bigger one among them came outside to save his younger brother. Even before he stepped outside of the hut, the zombies grabbed him . The force was so much, the boy was teared apart. His arms, legs , mouth, ears , and all the body parts were snatched by different zombies and within seconds he was devoured. The second son was so much scared that he froze on the spot and eventually he was also brutally killed and eaten.

Ramu saw the deaths of all his beloved ones which breaked him apart . Until now all the hope from his mind vanished. He was just standing alone in the emptiness which was being filled by the filthy zombies. He saw, form his eyes , the zombies coming at him and suddenly everything became dark .

He felt a sudden flow of energy in his body. The energy was too much for him that he couldn't control it. He looked at the zombie with grudge in his eyes and marched towards them but in an instant everything became dark and he was flattened, lying on the ground. After a while, he opened his eyes and it was the same feeling of ominous energy in his body but for him something was off. He looked at himself, his skin was hanging all over his body and his muscles and bones were visible but the difference was that they were black and an eye full of ugly pulp was there on his chest. He didn't bothered about that us his only goal was revenge. He tried it to look at the zombies but he didn't felt grudge against them nor where the zombies attacking him. Everything became pale white in his eyes and now the only thing he wanted was *BLOOD* . He whispered *"BLOOD"*.

Father Principal gasped as he was torn from the haunting memories of Ramu. His chest rose and fell heavily, his entire body trembling as if he had lived through the horrors himself. Unbidden, tears streamed down his face, warm against his cold skin. His hands, slick with blood—some his, some not—twitched at his sides. For two long minutes, silence reigned.

A deep, suffocating silence.

A silence where grief had a voice, yet it spoke nothing.

His gaze drifted forward, hollow and unfocused, until it landed upon the grotesque, lifeless form of a zombie. Ramu. The very man whose agony he had just relived, whose love, rage, and despair had coursed through his veins as if they were his own. Now, that same man lay motionless at his feet, a corpse upon a bed of dust and blood.

Father Principal's lips parted, but no words came. His throat felt like a barren wasteland, dry and aching with sorrow. And then, finally, he whispered—his voice barely above a breath.

"Why...?"

His fingers clenched into fists as he swallowed the rising grief, but his heart still bled.

"Why is this world so cruel?"

"Why does it prey upon the innocent, turning laughter into screams, love into suffering?"

"Why must a simple farmer—a man who sought nothing but warmth in his home, food on his table, and love in his family—be forced to witness everything he cherished torn away from him?"

His shoulders trembled, not from pain, but from a profound, bone-deep sorrow that no amount of strength could suppress.

"And yet…"

A flicker of something—a memory, a feeling—rose through the crushing weight of despair.

The faces of the children.

Their laughter. Their joy. Their innocence.

Somewhere in this same school, those same children still lived. Afraid. Trapped. But alive.

And he was still breathing.

Something shifted within him. His chest heaved as he let out a slow, trembling breath, a bitter smile ghosting his lips. A single ember of hope had ignited within the abyss of his despair. If he was still standing, if even one more soul could be saved, then this wasn't over yet.

With renewed resolve, he turned sharply and stumbled toward his office. His vision swayed, his limbs felt like they had turned to lead, but he pushed forward. He had to warn the students. If even a single life could be spared from the horrors awaiting them, then he had to try.

The moment he reached his office, he slammed his bloodied hand against the desk, reaching for the microphone. But as soon as he pressed the button—nothing. No hum of electricity. No crackling of the speakers. Just silence.

His breath hitched.

No power.

For a brief second, rage burned in his veins. He clenched his fists, teeth gritted, his body shaking with frustration. Was even this small chance of saving them being ripped away from him?

Then, his gaze shifted—to the old cassette recorder on his desk.

His hands trembled as he reached for it, his fingers brushing against its worn edges. If he could not warn them now, he would leave something behind. Something they would find. Something they needed to hear.

He pressed the record button.

And then… he spoke.

Not a word of what he said would be revealed to the world—not yet.

Because the moment he finished, the moment he set the recorder down, a strange unease crept up his spine.

A chill, unnatural and suffocating.

He stiffened, his breath caught in his throat.

Slowly, hesitantly, his gaze lowered—to his chest.

And there it was.

The Eye.

Dark. Unforgiving. Pulsing with something unfathomable.

And then---
