Chapter 1

Lucian Vale sat in his dimly lit room, eyes fixed on the glowing monitor before him. His fingers moved swiftly across the keyboard, the soft clicks filling the silence. His latest match was coming to an end, victory flashing across the screen.

He should've felt something - satisfaction, accomplishment, at least a hint of joy. But there was nothing. Just the same dull emptiness gnawing at his mind.

He leaned back in his chair staring into his monitor.

Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. A faint wind blew across the room. The curtains slightly opened revealing what seemed to be a red sky. Lights start to flicker and the screen on his PC distorts .

A massive translucent blue interface materialized before him, spanning his entire field of view. No matter where he looks , it follows.

The screen was minimalistic yet imposing, with sleek silver boarders and glowing text that seemed to hum with power

In the midst of confusion, a voice spoke .

It was not human

It was cold, neutral and omnipresent, echoing inside his mind rather than his ears.

"Welcome Players , let the games begin" the system announced.

Lucian was taken back from what he had just heard. He stared at the blue interface wondering what all this meant.

A sharp scream pierced the silence outside sending a cold shiver down his spine. He stood up from his chair and rushed to the windows .

He just stood there horrified at the sight.

Death filled the air . Cars were crashing and buildings were exploding. People were chasing each other.

Chaos consumed the city as screams echoed the streets. Desperation turned into violence and people tore into each other like animals driven by fear and confusion.

What is going on ? What's happening? He murmurs to himself.

He takes a step back and focuses closely on the blue interface that was in-front of him.

The first thought that flashed through Lucian's mind was, "is this a game?"

As he reached out his hand to touch the interface , more texts appeared.

SKILSS ACQUIRED: LIMITLESS TYRANT

Annihilation Drive - Strength, Speed and Endurance increase the longer you fight.

Domination Zone -Controll gravity enemy movement within a set area.

Tyrant's Mandate -Issue an absolute command once per day.

"So these are my abilities", he said while tapping on the interface. He read and studied his abilities curious if he was actually capable of such things.

"Activate Domination Zone" he commanded. His voice still not confident that it would work .

To his surprise, a small radius of about five meters appeared around him.

The air shifted.

A strange weight settled in the room, pressing outwards from him like an unseen force.

His body felt light. He took a step forward and it was as if the world inside his domain moved with him. The gravity , space and controll within his domain belonged to him .

A sly grin tugged at the corner of his lips. He felt a hint of joy and excitement. This wasn't just a game, it was real life.

The domination Zone then disappeared.

It was in cooldown.

Every game has rules and mechanics.

He looked out the window again, this time not with fear but with thrill.

This time he didn't feel like a ghost to an unknown world. This world had became a game, a game that Lucian was eager to play.
