In a quiet forest, the evening glow bathed the trees in warm light.Lee Do-hyeon sat with Han So-yeon, Baek Wol-hui, Chun-hyang, and Mi-ryeong.Then, he spoke.
"It's time for me to return. To my true home."
The air froze.
"Orabeoni… you're leaving us?"Han So-yeon's voice trembled.
Baek Wol-hui remained silent, then gently laid down her sword.
"Without you, Captain… can we still protect the Gangho?"
Chun-hyang clasped his hand tightly.
"Is your home… truly a happy place?"
Do-hyeon wrapped her hand warmly in his.
"It's where I truly belong. But I want to give each of you a choice. Will you come with me—to the real world?"
Han So-yeon was the first to answer.
"If you're going there, Orabeoni, then so am I."
Baek Wol-hui gave a small laugh.
"Captain, if I don't go with you, who else will keep you in check? My decision's made. I'm coming too."
Mi-ryeong hesitated, then slowly shook her head.
"I still have things to do here. The empire is in disarray, and I need to find my own path. But someday… maybe I'll find my way there too."
Chun-hyang smiled softly, still holding his hand.
"I think I have to stay a little longer. There are people here who still need me—at Yeonhwa-ru, and beyond. But if you ever call for me… I'll come running."
Their answers were all different, but they converged toward a single truth.Do-hyeon, So-yeon, and Wol-hui would leave together.Mi-ryeong and Chun-hyang would stay to walk their own paths.
But this was not a farewell of endings.
"We'll meet again—someday."Do-hyeon looked at Mi-ryeong and Chun-hyang and made a quiet promise."Perhaps… we'll open a path that connects this world and reality both."
A few weeks later,Do-hyeon, Han So-yeon, and Baek Wol-hui had completed their preparations.Once again, the sky split open.Radiant light enveloped them, and their forms began to fade.
Chun-hyang and Mi-ryeong watched through tears.
"Go well… and be truly happy."
In that moment,Do-hyeon spoke his final words.
"The time I spent here… it was the most precious part of my life. I'll never forget it."
And then, they vanished into the light.
Chun-hyang and Mi-ryeong held each other tightly.
"We have our own path to walk now."
The sky's light vanished. The wind blew gently. The Gangho stood at the dawn of a new age.And far away, in reality—Lee Do-hyeon's new journey had just begun.
"Every ending… is the beginning of something new."
A new chapter of their fate had opened.
To be continued in the Elysium Arc.
