After an unknown amount of time since the princess left the cave, Xia Chun opened his eyes. The first thing he did was look around, trying to find something.
Not finding what he was looking for, he sighed. 'It seems that woman is gone.' This left him with a blank expression for a few seconds, but he quickly returned to normal.
Then, he noticed a piece of paper inscribed with red ink, along with a ring of the same color, both placed on the head of the bed.
Picking up the paper, he began to read:
---
"I'm sorry for almost killing you. I was out of my mind. Your body is extremely attractive to my physique, to the point that my emotions went out of control. As compensation, I left some things in the storage ring. This ring has an internal space used for storing objects. To recognize you as its master, drop a bit of blood on it.
I hope this helps you and that you reach the Spiritual Heaven. Don't waste your talent by staying in the Mortal Heaven. Even if you lose your identity as a prince and have to enter a world where the strong prey on the weak, it will be worth it if you desire to prolong your life, attain immortality, fly through the skies, gain the strength to destroy mountains, and, most importantly, protect yourself.
You wouldn't want to be used by another crazy woman to the point of death, would you?
She might not be as kind as I am. You could be imprisoned, chained, and used as a human cauldron."
---
Xia Chun read the paper with a smile, but upon reaching the last part, he rolled his eyes. 'What's wrong with that woman's head?' The princess's brain was definitely not normal.
Even so, he smiled. Despite everything, that princess seemed responsible.
"Spiritual Heaven, huh? I wonder what's there?"
He had always been curious about it. Whenever he read related books, his heart would race with excitement, yearning to explore that supernatural place.
'In this life, I thought it was impossible, but now that I have a chance... why not go? What's the point of being a prince if your lifespan is only a hundred years?'
He raised his arm and clenched his fist.
"I want to go beyond, pursue immortality, and see the world's beauty through the eyes of an immortal!"
He decided that after resolving some matters and bidding farewell to his family, he would go to the Spiritual Heaven.
"From the moment I leave, I'll rely only on myself. Starting from scratch, with no title, weak... my only support will be me. I might die the moment I step there, but even so, I'll go. That's my wish! Besides, I need to teach that little princess a lesson!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Having decided his future steps, Xia Chun laughed like a maniac. His laughter echoed through the cave like that of a madman.
After laughing for a long time, Xia Chun stopped and bit the little finger of his left hand, making red liquid drip. In the next moment, he brought his finger close to the storage ring, which glowed crimson as it received the drop of blood.
Then, the ring flew toward Xia Chun, who caught it in the air.
Holding the ring in his hand, he felt something strange, as if that small object was a part of him. It was as if he could control every part of the ring, which made him lift it to his dark eyes, as black as the night.
Turning it between his fingers, he observed every detail, trying to uncover its mystery.
After examining every corner, he found nothing and gave up. He concluded that the world of cultivators was truly an enigma that could only be unraveled by diving into it.
Giving up on studying the ring, Xia Chun thought about entering it. In the next moment, he appeared in an empty space with an area of ten thousand cubic meters.
Inside this space, only a small portion was filled. There were some bottles containing pills: some yellow, others green and white. However, one stood out from the rest. It was a red pill with the design of a phoenix, kept in a blue porcelain bottle labeled: "Phoenix Blood Pill."
Seeing this, Xia Chun took a deep breath. Even without having entered the Spiritual Heaven, he was sure that pill was priceless, especially if it was made with real phoenix blood.
'What a thoughtful princess... I'm even considering being nice to her next time.'
He smiled, satisfied with the compensation, which was much more than he could have asked for.
Afterward, he continued examining the other items. Besides the pills, there were three books: the first had a yellow cover with the title "Yang Qi Explosion Fist." The second, in the middle, had a red cover: "Nirvana Rebirth Breathing Method." The third and last was a black book: "Shadow Steps."
This made him quite curious, especially about the breathing method. 'Is it the same process as the Hegemonic Yin Yang Art?' He had this doubt. To resolve it, he withdrew his consciousness from the storage ring and thought about taking the book.
It worked. The book instantly appeared before him.
'The world of cultivation is truly a mystery...'
He recalled what he had thought before entering the storage ring. To Xia Chun, all of that was new, like a kind of discovery.
Taking a deep breath, he held the book and opened it, beginning to study it.
After reading the first page, he understood what the pill was for and discovered a new world.
"The book states that to start practicing this technique, one must use the Phoenix Blood Pill and refine it into a lotus called the Nirvana Lotus, which will serve as a dantian. Those who practice this Breathing Method will have extremely high firepower, thanks to the Phoenix's blood, regarded as the Sacred Beast of Flames!"
"This technique is so interesting!" Xia Chun said happily, but soon after, he felt strange.
'What if this technique is an inheritance from the Phoenix Empire? Why did that little princess give me this?'
The more he thought about it, the more a chill crept into his heart. As a prince, he knew better than anyone: if an outsider obtained any secret information from the royal family, they would hunt them down at all costs.
'I must never reveal this technique! If I practice it, I'll need to hide it, merging it with the Hegemonic Yin Yang Art.'
This was the plan he formed. Even without being sure of the technique's exact origin, he decided to follow his goal. After all, caution is never too much.
