Chapter 274: The Request

The water gathered and then shot out, bursting forth with a more ferocious speed than before. Two muffled groans sounded simultaneously, and the giant toads' bodies fell at the same time.

Roa shrugged and looked at the request form in his hand.

Ten thousand Eris obtained. It seems that money in this world is quite easy to earn.

The toad's body was large, but only a small part of it was truly valuable. Roa wasn't sure which part was valuable. After thinking for a moment, he moved the corpse to a place where he could later spend some money to hire an adventurer to harvest it.

He took out his card and glanced at it. His level had also reached level two.

Before Roa could make any move, the system's cold voice rang in Roa's ears.

[Detecting the host's current status, the current world's attribute bonus has been added to the system panel.]

[You have obtained the title: Adventurer]

[Your level has been upgraded to level two. You have gained five attribute points and three skill points.]

[You can spend skill points to choose what to learn or to improve your skills.]

Roa blinked and looked at the card in his hand.

Then he opened the system panel.

The system panel was also straightforward, with a small half-circle of attribute panel next to the original attribute panel.

[Character: Roa Greyrat]

[Class: None]

[Age: Fifteen]

[Level: 2]

[Strength: 40]

[Agility: 40]

[Stamina: 40]

[Mana: 100]

[Skills: None]

These were Roa's current attributes, also the attributes on the panel.

However, Roa compared them and found that there were some slight deviations. To be precise, the attributes on the system panel were slightly different from those on the card. The values on the card were actually a bit larger. The data on the panel was more concise, and the values were smaller, making it easier for Roa to calculate.

Without saying much, Roa directly put all the obtained attribute points into strength. With the addition of five attribute points, a surge of heat flowed through him, and Roa could clearly feel his strength increasing.

In the current state, this was already quite good. Although it might only be a fraction of his strength at his peak, considering that he was only level one, it was somewhat surprising to him to receive such a significant boost.

However, Roa was probably the only adventurer who received such treatment.

Normally, an average adventurer would only gain one attribute point when leveling up, or two for those with good talent. This was why Luna had such a shocked expression when Roa's attributes were revealed.

He clenched his fist slightly. The increase in attributes not only raised the upper limit a little but also allowed him to use more power immediately.

Roa studied it for a while longer, felt it was about right, and continued forward.

The lawn was basically full of this type of frog. Roa continued to move forward. After playing around for a while and feeling it was unnecessary, he simply accelerated and went deeper.

The lawn wasn't truly endless. Relying on his magic perception, Roa successfully arrived at a forest.

Here, goblins and magic wolves were more common, and their levels were higher than those of the frogs.

Although, in terms of combat power, a single goblin or magic wolf might be easier to deal with than a toad, the tricky part was that these guys came in groups.

They had some coordination and understanding between them, which greatly increased the danger index for adventurers.

This was why some adventurers who had just left the starting village often failed.

And right now, Roa was facing a team of goblins.

Green skin, short and ugly bodies. At the front were three goblins holding short swords, behind them stood a goblin priest wearing a robe, and behind them were two goblin archers.

This kind of combination was quite deadly. Generally speaking, although goblins would come in groups, encountering such a team directly was considered extremely bad luck.

This was a goblin hunting party. The goblins hunted a wide range of targets, including nearby magical beasts and passing adventurers.

These green guys were quite intelligent. If they discovered that the adventurer was strong, they wouldn't rush to attack.

But if it was a lone adventurer, they would quietly surround them and then strike directly.

Male adventurers would be killed and used as food.

Female adventurers would be used as goblin breeding tools and taken back to the nest.

And Roa had no politeness towards these creatures.

Because Roa had his magic perception active, the other party didn't immediately notice Roa's presence.

The goblins were whispering to each other, saying things that Roa couldn't understand.

While they were talking, Roa could clearly see the bloodstains hanging on the sharp teeth of the goblin at the front. It seemed that these guys had recently eaten something, whether it was a person or a magical beast.

Roa really didn't have a good look for these cruel and cunning creatures.

Roa stood behind a tree, hiding behind it, coldly watching the passing goblins.

Without saying much, he directly began to chant a spell.

"With a scorching sword, cleave the enemy! Flame Slice!"

Flames gathered in Roa's hand. Roa waved his hand, and the flames turned into a slash, becoming a stream of light that arrived in front of the goblins in the front row in the blink of an eye.

An explosion sounded, and the surrounding trees turned into charcoal. The goblins at the back quickly flipped backward, trying to create some distance.

The priest in the middle noticed something was wrong, but it was too late. The shockwave of the explosion knocked him backward along with the others. The three goblins at the front were engulfed in flames, turning into a pile of charcoal and falling to the ground.

In an instant, this somewhat qualified team panicked. The remaining three goblins got up from the ground, roaring and cursing. One goblin was very decisive, directly picking up a bone whistle from around its neck and blowing it.

A piercing sound spread throughout the forest.

Roa didn't care. He had naturally seen the whistle, and he had deliberately let this goblin go so that it would be easier for him to clean up, saving him the trouble of searching for them one by one.

These goblins moved quickly. One of them stepped forward and ran to the goblin priest, but all he saw was a goblin who wasn't breathing.

The three goblins cast hateful glances at Roa. Without saying much, they drew their bows and aimed at Roa.

The bows weren't good bows, made of wood. The arrows weren't good arrows either, all crudely made.
