Chapter 7

Jade's only hope now was Garrison.

She rushed to the man's office.

Garrison was swamped with work, his expression extremely displeased.

"You're not welcome here."

Jade choked up, crying her eyes out.

"Garrison, you're all I have left. Don't be so cold-hearted. Now that we're both divorced, why don't you marry me?"

The old Garrison would have agreed without hesitation.

But now, he didn't even look up, his tone all business.

"No."

After speaking, he frowned and dialed the phone.

"Where's security? No unauthorized personnel allowed in the company."

"Garrison, those news stories must be Chase's attempt to frame me. You know me best. I wouldn't even hurt an ant, how could I do those things? Back then, I just wanted to wish her dad well. Who knew I'd almost get myself in trouble? I'm a victim too!"

But Garrison was done deceiving himself.
