Cris stood in the facility workshop, placing the massive cracked sword onto the worktable. He exhaled sharply, staring at the damaged weapon.
"Trixie, how do I fix this?" he asked.
Trixie floated beside him, scanning the sword with a soft hum. "Master, based on my analysis, you'll need a tool called a Block Hammer for reforging. Additionally, you'll require a rare metal called Croms—a highly durable material only found outside the shelter."
Cris frowned. "Outside, huh…?"
That was a problem.
He wasn't ready to step outside yet. No protective gear, no way to breathe in the toxic air, and worst of all—he had no idea what kind of monsters were waiting for him out there.
His last sword had already broken fighting that massive Zeezo. If he wanted to stand a chance, he had to fix Titan Fang first.
Trixie suddenly perked up. "Master, why not upgrade the workshop first? There's a chance new equipment will become available!"
Cris snapped his fingers. "You're right! Let's do it."
He pulled up his system menu and checked his MS.
[Current MS: 15]
Good. That was enough. He navigated to the Blueprints section, selected the workshop, and hit Upgrade.
The shelter rumbled slightly, and in an instant, tiny floating robots appeared from the walls—small, metallic spheres with robotic arms. They whirred and buzzed, gathering materials from storage.
Some of them reached toward their own heads, extracting components before seamlessly incorporating them into the workshop structure.
Then, a larger robot—clearly their supervisor—hovered in front of Cris, making a beeping noise as if telling him to leave.
Cris raised an eyebrow. "What? You're kicking me out?"
The system chimed in:
[Nanobots detected. These specialized robots automatically upgrade structures purchased with MS.]
Cris crossed his arms, watching as the nanobots efficiently worked. "Huh. Guess I should let them do their thing."
He turned to Trixie. "So, what now?"
Trixie brightened up. "Master, why not train in the Training Ground while we wait? Strengthening your body will help when you eventually go outside."
Cris grinned. "Now that's a great idea!"
With renewed determination, he headed toward the training ground, ready to push himself further.
