"Hu hu hu hu! My dragon fang! Hu hu hu hu!!" Fatty moaned and groaned loudly as he reluctantly ran away to "retrieve" it.
Damien Bloodbane chuckled lightly.
He didn't expect the fatty to actually do it!
Casually, he picked up the other items and checked then out to determine Sheila Shadowbane's proficiency in forging.
"Not too bad. Each of her items are imbued with the Ice Element, and are all solidly made. But without further breakthrough, reaching the mid human grade is probably her highest achievement. Her works lack a certain… flair to be able to reach high human grade." Damien Bloodbane concluded quietly.
As the once treasured son of the Bloodbane Clan, Damien Bloodbane had seen his fair share of high human grade treasures.
He glanced at Sheila Shadowbane who was sitting there in perfect calmness.
"Still, she would make a pretty good supplier for my needs." Damien Bloodbane thought.
"I'll focus on Death Devour to raise my stats even further. That way, I should be able to rise to the top of Pearl Institute with my physical skills and attract War God College's attention.
Then they will probably trade for me, and I will be able to make my mark in this world without depending on Necromancy. That's excellent.
And for that… I will need tools. Cheap and good ones."
Damien Bloodbane mused and made plans about his future while he waited for the Fatty to return.
"Do you… Are you good with daggers?" Sheila Shadowbane suddenly asked in her raspy voice.
"Hmmm. I am okay I guess. It is currently my favorite weapon to use." Damien Bloodbane replied, slightly surprised that she would actually take the initiative to talk to him.
Sheila Shadowbane merely nodded at his words silently.
"Is this pair of daggers your only pair?" Damien Bloodbane asked curiously.
"It… is the only pair I am selling." Sheila Shadowbane said softly.
Her words were clear. She still had another pair, maybe more, which she wasn't selling.
It was Damien Bloodbane's turn to nod at her without saying anything.
There was nothing else to be said, anyway.
As the seller, she would sell whatever the hell she wanted. And that was the end of the story.
After a moment of silence, a freakish roar of pain suddenly sounded out of nowhere and caused the entire Chinese Camp to look up and stare at the direction the roar came from in utter astonishment!
What sort of fearsome beast was that?
And what sort of terrifying power could cause such a fearsome beast to roar in so much pain?
But after a full minute of silence without any follow up roars, everybody resumed what they were doing.
Maybe it was nothing. Or their imagination, perhaps?
A minute or so later…
"Huhuhuhu boss! This is my super treasured dragon fang. Make sure you pay me back double! No, triple!" Fatty sobbed dramatically as he handed an arm sized dragon fang to him.
Damien Bloodbane raised his eyebrows at the sight of such a massive fang, before turning to look at fatty curiously.
Just how big was that fatty's original dragon form to be able to produce such a massive fang?
And more curiously, such a big and powerful dragon decided to follow him so easily? To the point of plucking out his fang for him on such a whim?
Truth be told, there were many other ways to get 5000 dollars to purchase the daggers. The whole idea of trading a dragon fang for the two daggers were quite far fetched to begin with.
He was quite surprised that the fatty would actually do it!
"Hehehe Fatty you really are amazing!" Damien Bloodbane smiled at the fatty the way a pirate would look at a huge chest of gold.
"What? No! I only have 1! I don't have another one!!" The fatty instantly understood the greedy look Damien Bloodbane was giving him and shrank back in fear.
"You're a good follower. I will need to depend on you for all of my weapons and armor needs in the future." Damien Bloodbane patted Fatty's head and smiled at him approvingly.
"What?! Boss!! Have mercy on mee!!" Fatty cried out miserably.
However, at that moment, a familiar, arrogant voice sounded from behind them.
"Huh? What is a miserable E ranked trash doing in the secret shop?"
"Secret shop? I see, so Sheila Shadowbane has been doing this for quite some time, and has even managed to accumulate some sort of reputation from her customers. Interesting!" Damien Bloodbane instantly understood the situation even as he turned around to look at the newcomers.
Of course he did not forget to hide the massive dragon fang.
It wouldn't be good for others to know that he had such a valuable and rare material!
The group that just arrived was a group of five young people, with Hilda Redcloud and Vivienne Lisky standing in front accompanied by a startlingly good looking young man dressed smartly in white and black, and two other powerful looking men behind them.
Guards for the ladies, presumably.
A towering aura of confidence radiated from the young man in black and white, as though he was the king of the world, and everybody else were simply there to cater to his every whim.
A single glance at him revealed that he was actually Gan Brooks, a B Ranked Tier 31 Wood Assassin!
"So this is Gan Brooks." Damien Bloodbane thought wryly to himself. "Tier 31 at such a young age. He truly is a genius!"
"Please make way for us. We are here to purchase some items from the esteemed Secret Forger." One of the guards immediately stepped forward and gestured for Damien Bloodbane to leave.
Although his words and tone were polite, it contained a second layer of meaning.
We're here to buy, unlike you who are probably too poor to afford the awesome goods sold by the Secret Forger!
Plus even though he hid it well, Damien Bloodbane's superhuman senses could easily detect the disdain and scorn the guard had for him.
"You're here to purchase items from the Secret Forger? What the hell do you think your daddy, I, am doing? Dancing and singing to entertain this Secret Forger lady? Of course I am here to buy stuff as well! And not just one! And not just two! I am here to buy everything!" Fatty said proudly. He was a powerful dragon.
But even if he was not, he probably could sense the disdain the ladies had for his boss!
As a faithful underling, he had to win some face back for his boss!
