Bab 2

"Don't waste time, Anna, quickly say what you want!" Regan was annoyed and impatient. Anna glared in annoyance. Regan was really impatient. Even though

Anna hadn't finished speaking, the man had interrupted her. "ish! Be patient, Mr. Regan!" she snapped, "Warmth, that's all I want! I want warmth from you and your family. In return, you will get a child from me! How?"

Regan narrowed her eyes again, she didn't understand what Anna had just said, "Warmth? What warmth do you mean?" he asked.

Ana took a deep breath with teary eyes, "After my parents' divorce a year ago, I always felt alone. I always missed the warmth of my family but until now I haven't gotten it back. Even though I've tried to distance myself from men or women who try to fill Mom and Dad's lives. But for some reason they are reluctant to reunite."

"Then what does it have to do with me and my family?" Regan asked again.

"Because I can't get that warmth from my parents, I want it from you. I am willing to get pregnant and give birth to a child for you. Not just one child but more is fine. As long as I want to live in a complete family environment. I want you to always be there for me and ready to fill this emptiness in my heart," Anna answered honestly.

Regan squinted at Anna's words, "So, you want to force me to love you?"

"No! I don't want to force you to love me. I don't care about all that. I just want to have a complete family, that's all. Don't you understand what I mean?" Anna evaded because she would not force Regan to love her. Regan scratched his head not fully understanding what Ana meant.

"Gosh, it seems like you're really slow! Listen, I don't care about love, commitment, or whatever. I just don't want to feel lonely anymore. Umm… just think of it as you marrying me to be my friend and share your family with me. Understand?" Anna tried to explain hoping that Regan would understand what she meant.

Regan nodded his head. Although he didn't fully understand Anna's wishes, at least he could understand a little of what the woman meant. Ana smiled in relief seeing Regan nod. At least the man wasn't too slow in thinking so Anna didn't have to bother explaining everything in detail.

"Okay, it looks like the offer you made is interesting too. Then tomorrow I will prepare all the documents that you have to sign for our collaboration. How?" Regan offered impatiently considering that the conditions that Anna had put forward were quite reasonable.

"Whatever, I don't care at all! But we'd better go back to your mother. Poor thing he's waiting for us!" asked Anna, remembering that Marissa was waiting for them.

"Hmm, you're right! To discuss this matter further, tomorrow you just come to my company. This is my business card. Just tell me if you have an appointment with me!" Regan ordered.

Ana accepted the business card that Regan gave her and put it in her bag. "Okay, let's meet your mother again!"

Regan and Ana returned to the table and sat opposite Marissa. The smile on the woman's lips seemed to continue to grow when she saw Anna and Regan together.

"What are you talking about? What took you so long?" asked Marissa, a little sulking. Marissa looked at the two young people in front of her searchingly. There was suspicion in his heart that the two young people were planning something strange behind his back.

"This, Auntie, Regan is sulking because I thwarted his plan to surprise everyone." Anna argued to cover up her lie.

Marissa glared at her son, making Regan smile wryly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"It's not like that, Mom, I just don't feel like this is the right time," Regan said as an excuse.

"Then when is the right time? Are you waiting for Mommy to match you first?" Marissa looked at her son cynically.

"It's not like that, Mom. I mean that…."

"Don't make so many excuses! Mommy is annoyed with you!" Marissa glared in annoyance then turned her gaze to Anna.

"Regan is really naughty, Anna! If you weren't there, Mommy wouldn't know that you two were in a relationship. Now tell Mommy when will you get engaged?" Marissa asked impatiently.

"Mom, we'll talk about this again tomorrow. It's late and Ana has to go home, Mom!"

Regan immediately grabbed it, afraid that Anna would say the wrong thing later. Marissa snorted in annoyance at her son, "it's only eight o'clock, Regan, don't make excuses!"

"Come on, Mom, tomorrow I'll take Ana home so you two can talk as much as you like." Regan persuaded her mother to agree to let Anna go now.

"Is it true? Are you really going to visit the house, Ana?" Marissa asked enthusiastically.

Ana nodded hesitantly while giving a forced smile, "Yes, Auntie."

"Okay then you can go home now, Ana. But remember, you have to come home tomorrow!" said Marissa warningly.

"Yes, Auntie."

Marissa smiled then turned to look at her son, "Take Ana home! Make sure nothing happens to Mommy's daughter-in-law!" she said.

"Okay, Mom, I will..."

"No need, Auntie! I can go home alone!" Anna interrupted quickly.

Marissa glared at Anna, "Mommy doesn't want to hear rejection! You either go home with Regan or you go home with Mommy!" she said without rebuttal.

"Sorry, Mom. OK, I'll go home with Regan," said Anna resignedly, having no choice but to refuse.

Anna and Regan immediately said goodbye to Marissa On the way home, only silence enveloped the two of them. Neither of them spoke to each other until they finally arrived at the luxurious house that Anna thought was where Regan lived until she saw that Anna wasn't a lying rich family.

"It turns out you are the son of a rich man," said Regan in amazement.

"What's the point of having lots of wealth but only being surrounded by silence?" Anna didn't care about Regan's reaction. For her, her wealth didn't bring happiness at all.

Regan turned to Anna, surprised by the woman's reaction. Meanwhile, Anna smiled wryly and took a few rough breaths. he offered.

"Emmm... I don't think so this time. It's late, I'll stop by next time." Regan immediately refused because he wasn't ready to meet Anna's family.

"Okay, then I'll go down first. See you at the company tomorrow," said Anna his house. He didn't look back at all and just let Regan go.

Silence greeted Anna again as soon as the girl opened the door. Anna let out a harsh breath as she walked up the stairs unsteadily.

"Where have you been? You just got home from hanging around at this hour, Anna?" Hendrawan asked, furious when he saw his daughter had just returned. Anna stopped walking and turned to stare at her father in annoyance.

"Where have you been, Dad? You just remembered to come home, Dad? It's only been a week, Dad. Why don't you make it a full month like usual?" Anna said sarcastically with a sarcastic smile on her lips.

Hendrawan glared angrily at Anna's words. How could Anna dare to fight him and even say something so annoying.

"Don't be rude, Ana! Dad never taught you to be rude like this!" Hendrawan was furious.

"Dad never taught me to be rude, but Dad taught me how to destroy a family!" Anna was fierce, not wanting to lose.

"Watch your words, Anna! Have you forgotten who you're talking to right now?" Hendrawan glared at Anna, showing the anger he currently felt for his only daughter. Instead of being afraid, Anna stared back at Hendrawan as if challenging the man.

"I didn't forget who I was talking to, Dad! But I forgot that the person in front of me was my Dad! I don't know my own Dad anymore!" Anna replied fearlessly.

"You may be disappointed in Dad, Anna, but you shouldn't blame Dad alone! Remember, your mother is also at fault in this matter. She didn't want to accept Dad for who he is to the point of…"

"What woman wants her love to be shared, Dad? Instead of blaming Mom, Dad should introspect why he couldn't control his lust to the point of sacrificing me and Mom! Dad is selfish!" Anna was furious and couldn't understand why her father was still playing the victim and blaming her mother.

"It wasn't Dad who sacrificed you guys but your Mom herself who wanted all this. Please understand, Anna, we are no longer on the same page so it's impossible to be together. You are too mature to understand all this!" Hendrawan still defended himself because he didn't feel guilty for everything that had happened in his family.

The decision for the jewelry wasn't his but his ex-wife's. Fed up with her father's behavior who still didn't realize his mistake, Anna immediately ran into the room without caring about her father anymore. Gradually she was fed up with the drama that her father always presented.

"Anna! Anna, come back! Anna! Daddy hasn't finished talking, Anna!" Hendrawan snorted in annoyance, seeing Ana ignoring his call.

Thank goodness Anna was his daughter, if Anna was someone else, Hendrawan would definitely make a calculation against the person who dared to be rude to her.

"Sir, it seems like Miss Anna is still sad about what happened," said Mbok Laras suddenly.Mbok Laras was a maid who had worked for the Hendrawan family for a long time. The old woman had known Laras since she was a baby so she could feel how broken Anna was because of her parents' separation.

"Anna is a big girl, Mbok, she shouldn't act like a child! It's been a year since my separation with her mother. Anna should have been able to accept it and not keep blaming me for everything!" said Hendrawan tired of Anna's attitude.

"Sir, be patient. Hopefully Miss Anna can accept the separation of Sir and Madam soon. Mbok also feels sorry for Miss Anna because since Sir and Madam's separation, Miss Anna has been daydreaming more as if she has lost her will to live," said Mbok Laras sadly. Hendrawan rubbed his face roughly,

"Please take care of Anna, Mbok. Please let me know if Anna goes out at night again!"

"Yes, Sir," replied Mbok Laras, nodding obediently.

Hendrawan left the house without caring about Ana. Mbok Laras looked pitifully at Anna's tightly closed bedroom door while rubbing her chest.

"Poor Miss Anna. Hopefully Sir and Madam can get back together again for Miss Anna's sake," muttered Mbok Laras hopefully.

Anna cried as she watched her father's car leave from behind the window curtain. Forget about coaxing him, the man just chose to leave Anna like that.

"Why doesn't Daddy want to coax me? Why does Daddy always choose to leave like this? When will Daddy understand that I need you guys? Yes, both of you! I need Mommy and Daddy. I miss you guys."

Anna dropped her body weight on the bed while crying in despair. Alone, lonely, and feeling unneeded, that's what Anna feels right now.
