Chapter-135

Unexpected Visitor

Jay-jay's POV

Should I continue?!
No way! I can't go straight to school. But I need to
see her.
Badtrip!
"Jay-jay..." Ci-N called me. "...Keifer will scold me for this
!"
"Pack it up!" I told her angrily.
He's the one who's going to get angry. Not me. They're just idiots! They didn't
eel sorry for Kiko and that's all they did.
I talked to Ci-N and she explained to me what I saw in the video.
They said it was really their revenge on Kiko for what he did to me.
But I couldn't hide my anger at him. Yes, the person is at fault
or me but I guess what they did was too much.
Wasn't it enough that they hurt Kiko the very night
they saved me from him.
"Don't go on... Keifer might come looking for you. I don't know
what I'll tell him." He pleaded.
"Tell me you woke up late."
"That's not possible!"
I raised one eyebrow. "What's not possible?!"
"Keifer knows when I'm lying." He said while
scratching his head in annoyance.
"Get over it..."
"That's not how it is!" He said annoyed.
"Tsk! Go away!" I ordered him with a high kick.
I've been thinking about that a few times. I almost limped
just to do that. But I still couldn't!
"Jay-jay!"
I immediately flagged down the taxi that was approaching where I was standing. I got in
as soon as it stopped. I glared at the little boy who looked like
he was crying where he was standing. "Brother... Let's go to Benedict Hospital." I told the driver and he
nodded . The taxi drove off and the little boy was completely left behind. It was up to him to sneak past Keifer.
Benedict Hospital is a bit far. It's a good thing Ci-N also admitted to me that he should have taken Kiko to the
hospital. I thought I would have taken him by force. I just looked out the window. The traffic was light today
and the weather was nice. It was also a nice day so--- -why did the reporter sound? The trip took about 20
minutes. My pocket was full of fare. Mud! I wish I had asked Ci-N, after all, they were the ones to blame for
why I was coming here. The hospital is small, not like I thought. It only has four floors. I see very few cars
parked. The same goes for people coming in and out of the main entrance. The surroundings are beautiful. It
looks like a park and there are many trees. They also have cottages and tables in the middle. There is a small
playground and pathway on the side. Is this really a hospital?! I went straight to the main entrance of the
hospital. The security guard greeted me. He looked inside my bag before letting me in. I approached the
Information counter where they were whispering. The one in front of their counter said 'Information'. "Good
morning... Do you have a patient named Kiko Evans?" I asked the woman. She looked at me for a moment
then smiled at me. "Do you have one... Are you his classmate too?" She seemed to notice the uniform I was
wearing. I just smiled and nodded. "I need your ID." She said. I took my ID and handed it to her. While pressing
the keyboard, I kept looking around. The hospital looked like it was for the rich , but there were really few
people. "A classmate of yours just left earlier. You didn't say anything ." The woman said and continued
pressing. "Ahh... H-they didn't tell me." I excused myself. She handed me back my ID. "Is that so... He's in Room
C9." She said to me. "Thank you." I said and was about to walk away but suddenly realized that I didn't know
where C9 was. "Where is C9?" "Third floor... That's all the elevator and stairs are." She said while pointing to
the other side of the counter. "Thank you..." I said and immediately ran towards the elevator. It had just opened
so I got on right away. I pressed number 3. Unlike a normal hospital, the smell here was pleasant. It didn't
smell like medicine or blood or disinfectant. When the elevator opened, I felt like I was no longer in a hospital.
I thought it was a hotel, because the hallway was beautiful and there were still plants on the side. I looked for
Kiko's room. C5... C6... C7... C8... C9! I stopped in front of it and took a deep breath. I was nervous. I knew
what I was going to do was a blow to the head. I knocked for a moment. No one answered so I tried again. But
no one spoke so I dared to open the door. I moved slowly. The loud volume of the TV greeted me. That's why I
couldn't hear. The room was large, with a sofa set near the bed. There was a kitchen sink, a small refrigerator,
a small dining table and another door that looked like a CR. The bed was in the corner, opposite the large
window and flat screen TV. "I'll eat later... I don't feel like it yet." Kiko said, facing the TV. I don't know how long
he had been here. But the way he looks... His left leg has a cast, from the sole to the thigh. This is the part that
Keifer kicked, from the video. The other leg was wrapped in a bandage. His right arm was also in a cast and
he could only use his left hand, which was the one holding the remote. He also had a neck brace and had cuts
and bruises on his face. I just bit my lower lip. I couldn't believe those Cobras could hurt like that. Yes, they
were fighting, but against people who were fighting them. I also couldn't accept that they could help someone
without a fight. "K-kiko..." I called out to him. He looked at me, when he recognized me properly he just stared
and turned off the TV with the remote in his hand. He didn't speak. He didn't react either. It was hard to tell if
he was angry with me. "K-how are you?" I asked as I walked towards him. My question seemed hesitant. "I-I
just found out... This is what happened to you." I started and took a deep breath. "...I-I'm asking for----" "Don't."
He cut me off. "Huh?" "Don't apologize. I deserve this." He said, surprised by me. "But..." "What I did is
unacceptable, I deserve this." He forced a smile for a moment. "...I'm the one who should apologize to you."
I couldn't speak. I just looked at him. It was like
I saw my old crush Kiko again.
"Please... Accept my apology. I wasn't myself. I was broken
hearted because you trashed me, so whatever came to
my mind. I'm really sorry Jay." He explained.
I went up to him and held his hand.
What he did was really wrong, but he's already paid for it. It was too much. I could see
that he was really sorry.
"Apology accepted." I said and smiled.
He smiled at me. "Thank you." He looked back for a moment
as if he was looking for someone. "...just you?"
I nodded. I went around to the other side of the bed when I noticed
the bench. I sat down there and immediately opened my bag.
I took the one I had brought with me and placed it on the bedside table.
"What's that?" He asked me.
"Soup... I don't know what I can bring you.
Manang cooked this because Kuya Angelo was sick."
I explained.
"Thank you... I'll eat it later."
I let her go because she really didn't seem to have an appetite.
I also observed her face and body. She had lost a bit of weight and
her hair had grown longer.
We both fell silent. It was strange, I didn't know
what to say to her first.
It was awkward!
Suddenly my phone rang so I immediately took
it out of my bag.
King Ulopong Calling...
I hung up the phone without turning it off. I didn't want to answer, he was going to take care of
his life.
"It looks like your classmates are looking for you." Kiko said and
smiled.
"Ahh.. Haha.. H-no... There you go... Haha..."
It's annoying! I can't mention or talk about the idiots in front of her.
They are the ones who did this, it would be ugly if I mentioned
them.
"You're very lucky Jay... Your classmates and friends love you so much.
They are willing to fight for you." He said seriously, making
me stare at him. "...They weren't like that with Ella before."
His words gave me a question mark. They weren't like that with Ella? Why?
How are they with Ella, so beautiful?----harsh!
"Maybe..." I whispered. I coughed a little. "...W-
how are you doing here? When are you going to get out?" I changed
the subject.
"It's still a long time. Approximately 6 to 8 months for my full recovery. Then
I need therapy." I just swallowed what he said. Wow! The harm he did to her
was too much . "...I've been here for more than 1 month. So I'll still be here for 5 to 7 months ." He added and
laughed a little. I bowed my head. I was embarrassed by him. The time she was supposed to be spending
studying, ended up just lying here in the hospital bed. "W-what are you studying for?" I asked, feeling like it was
wrong. Expelled men! "Home schooling... My teacher comes here before 10am. We'll decide how long we
spend studying ." She explained. Oh, that's what she said! Your grandfather is home schooled. I feel like I like
that too. "What did Freya just say?" I'll try again. I'm going to gossip. "Nothing... We're separated." She quickly
answered and looked out the big window. "...She said she didn't want a disabled boyfriend. That's why we just
broke up." Oh wow! That's terrible! First with Grace, instead of helping her pregnant friend, she laughed at her.
Now, instead of supporting her boyfriend, she just broke up with him. Very nice! "That woman is also
different." "She's really like that... When she's no longer useful, she ignores him." "Shh... It's obvious." I
commented and he laughed slightly. "But she wasn't really like that before. She just got hurt, so she changed."
I looked at her. Freya was hurt? Impossible! It was in her appearance that she was hurt. "It's not obvious that
she was hurt, huh?" She suddenly laughed. "You're so mean to Freya... Seriously, she's not really like that.
Mykel and I used to fantasize about her in grade school and summer class. But when she stepped into high
school, she changed." I suddenly remembered the picture Edrix had shown me. She really looked like a
antasy. She was beautiful and so simple. "What happened to her?" I asked. Kiko didn't answer, he fell silent
and thought for a moment. "Ask Keifer and Yuri." He said almost in a whisper. I looked at him in surprise. It
took a while before my mind flashed back to the fact that Freya was Keifer's first girlfriend. But why Yuri too?
"What do you mean by that?" He bowed slightly. "It's not my story to tell... But from what I remember, Freya's
boyfriend died and Keifer, Yuri and Aries are passing him on." Shutang'names! I couldn't take it! Not really! I felt
like worms were tumbling in my brain. I was just speechless at the story I was hearing. F-freya... Argh!
