familiar details.

She flips through the pages and suddenly stops at a particular detail—

Blood-stained evidence… just like back then.

Her hand trembles slightly. Her smile fades for a second.

FLACBACK: Flashback – 14-Year-Old Jae-hyun (Interrogation Room, Past)

Interrogation Room – Seoul Police Station

The clock on the wall ticked loudly. Ahn Jae-hyun sat in the cold metal chair, her hands resting on the table, calm and unmoving. Across from her, the detective narrowed his eyes.

"Do you know why you're here?"

Jae-hyun tilted her head, flashing a small, childlike smile. "A murder, right? Too bad I'm the suspect."

The detective slammed a file onto the table. "Your brother's murder."

Her smile didn't falter, but inside, something shattered..

' FLASHBACK END'

Assistant prosecutor called " senior " . Jae ahn just shock. Looking at the file. As the flashback faded, he lowered his gaze, his usual sharpness softening for just a moment.

Before he could dwell on it any longer, a familiar voice broke through his thoughts.

"Senior, how are you planning to handle this now?"

Junior's sudden arrival snapped him back to reality. The case, once seemingly straightforward, now felt completely overturned—like the ground beneath him had shifted without warning.

Jae-hyun closed the file and leaned back. "I need one day to go through this."

With that, she stood up, ready to leave. But just as she reached for the door—

Ring. Ring.

Her phone vibrated in her pocket. She glanced at the screen. Jong-suk.

She sighed before picking up. "What now?"

"Jong suk" did you forget? today's you brother death anniversary.

Jae-hyun lowered her gaze, taking a deep breath. Then, in a low, firm voice, she said—

"No."

"Jong-suk, I'm waiting for you in front of the Supreme Court. Come quickly."

After finishing the brief memorial, he returns home, studies the file, and decides to meet his sister—the prime suspect—immediately.

Just as he was about to leave, he opened the gate—and there, in the apartment corridor, he had his first encounter with his brother's friend. "Do hwan".

She didn't realize ; but Do hwan noticed her "

After that, she went to the crime suspect's house to talk. As the conversation unfolded, she realized the suspect had been framed. Just then, his parents stood up.

The next day "

"The courtroom buzzed with tension. Then, the judge's gavel struck. 'Not guilty.'

A wave of relief washed over him. He had won."

"On the other hand, Do hwan's suspicion deepened. The more he dug into the case, the more the pieces pointed to one person—his friend's sister. Was she really the one behind the murder?"

"Jae-hyun and Jong-suk walked home together, the weight of victory still fresh in their steps. But from a distance, Do-hwan watched them, his gaze sharp with suspicion."

The three of them were led into a room meant for three. But as they stepped inside, an unsettling tension filled the air. Do-hwan's gaze lingered on Jae-hyun and Jong-suk, sharp with suspicion."

"At that moment—ring! ring! ring!—all three phones vibrated at once, shattering the silence. They exchanged tense glances. This couldn't be a coincidence."

Would you like to add more about what they feel in that moment?

"At that exact moment, a notification popped up on all three of their screens—simultaneously. A video.

With a mix of hesitation and dread, they pressed play.

Seconds later, their eyes widened.

This… this couldn't be real."**

The video flickered to life.

A man stood atop a desolate hill, his yellow raincoat drenched by the relentless wind. His voice trembled as he pleaded, desperation thick in every word.

'I did what you asked… Please… don't hurt my sister.'

The screen shook, static crackling for a moment. His eyes—filled with terror—were the last thing they saw before the video cut to black."

"The two of them had barely stepped inside when they froze. The lingering echoes of the video replayed in their minds, sending a chill down their spines. Without a word, they turned and stepped back outside.

The three of them stood in the dim light, the silence between them heavier than ever.

Their eyes met—uneasy, searching, guarded.

No one spoke.

But in that moment, one thing was clear.

No one fully trusted the other."**
