Chapter 13

Chapter 13: Priorities

The room was still a chaotic mess.

People were struggling to breathe, the livestream chat was in shambles, and Xia Yang looked like he was about to combust from sheer embarrassment.

But just as he was about to throw another fit—

"Ah, here's the seafood you asked for."

A staff member walked in, carrying a tray piled high with steaming, freshly cooked seafood. The rich, heavenly aroma filled the air, and before anyone could react—

Xia Yang's entire demeanor changed.

The flustered, rage-filled Xia Yang from three seconds ago?

Gone.

Instead, his eyes lit up like a child seeing their favorite candy, and in an instant, he completely erased everything that just happened.

He stood up so fast that people actually gasped—

Only for him to hiss in pain, his ankle throbbing mercilessly.

But did that stop him?

Absolutely not.

Even as he winced, even as he nearly stumbled, Xia Yang gritted his teeth, pushed forward, and grabbed the tray like his life depended on it.

Then, as if nothing had ever happened—

He plopped right back down, picked up a crab leg, and started eating.

Silence.

Everyone just… stared.

"..."

One of the hosts finally whispered, "Did he just completely forget everything??"

A celebrity was still recovering from Long Wei's previous words, their face still red, but now they were staring at Xia Yang in utter disbelief.

Another host choked out a laugh. "He was literally about to fight Long Wei a second ago—"

The livestream chat?

[User: NO WAY HE JUST SWITCHED UP LIKE THAT]

[User: THIS MAN'S PRIORITIES ARE SO CLEAR LMAO]

[User: HE REALLY SAID 'SCREAMING? FLIRTING? WHO CARES, I GOT SEAFOOD']

[User: THE WAY HE JUST FORGOT EVERYTHING IM CRYING]

Meanwhile, Long Wei, who had been casually watching the disaster unfold, let out a quiet chuckle.

Xia Yang, happily chewing on his food, finally noticed.

He paused, narrowed his eyes, then swallowed before pointing a crab leg at Long Wei.

"What are you laughing at?"

Long Wei smirked. "Mn. Nothing."

Xia Yang squinted, clearly suspicious. But in the end, he just huffed and went back to eating, grumbling under his breath.

The entire cast just watched in stunned silence.

One of the celebrities leaned toward another and whispered, "...Should we be worried?"

The other nodded solemnly. "Yes."

Because at this rate—

There was no telling what would happen next.
