Chapter 10 : Uncooperative Pet And Magical space

**Chapter 10: The Most Uncooperative Pet in the Universe**

The ruins stretched on endlessly, each chamber more treacherous than the last. Alina and her team had narrowly avoided being flattened by stone golems, impaled by hidden traps, and cursed by an ancient relic that Rowan *just had to touch.*

"I stand by my decision," Rowan muttered, holding his still-glowing egg protectively. "It was *calling* to me."

Cassian rolled his eyes. "I hope it hatches into something that bites you."

Alina ignored their bickering, her eyes scanning their surroundings. The next chamber had an eerie stillness, the air thick with energy. Strange symbols glowed along the walls, and at the center, sitting atop a small pedestal, was what looked like a… sleeping furball.

"Is that a rock?" Rowan asked, squinting.

Zephyr, ever the cautious one, studied it closely. "No. That's a beast."

Alina took a step closer, and as if sensing her presence, the tiny creature lifted its head. It was, quite possibly, the *fluffiest* thing she had ever seen. Round as a dumpling, covered in soft white fur, with big violet eyes that shimmered with mischief.

The moment their gazes met, the creature let out a tiny, imperious chirp.

Then it lunged—directly at her face.

"AGH!"

Alina stumbled back, arms flailing as the creature attached itself to her head like an overly enthusiastic hat.

Cassian doubled over in laughter. "Congratulations. It likes you."

"I don't think *like* is the right word!" Alina pried the creature off her face, holding it at arm's length. It blinked up at her, utterly unbothered, before letting out a smug little purr.

Zephyr smirked. "It's a Voidfluff. Rare, unpredictable, and nearly impossible to tame."

Rowan snickered. "Sounds perfect for *you*."

Alina scowled. "How do you even *tame* something like this?"

The Voidfluff yawned and—without warning—vanished into thin air.

"…Where did it go?"

A moment later, a weight reappeared on her shoulder. The Voidfluff had materialized out of nowhere, now comfortably curled against her neck, looking absurdly pleased with itself.

Cassian smirked. "I think it just tamed *you*."

Rowan waggled his eyebrows. "Give it a name! Something majestic!"

Alina glared at him before sighing, looking at the smug little ball of fluff. "…Nova."

The Voidfluff chirped in approval, snuggling closer.

Zephyr gave a rare smile. "A fitting name. It means 'star that burns through darkness.'"

Alina felt an odd warmth in her chest. Maybe, just maybe, this ridiculous creature was meant to be hers after all.

Rowan, meanwhile, held up his egg proudly. "Now we just need *mine* to hatch, and we'll have a full house of chaos."

Cassian groaned. "Why do I feel like that's a terrible idea?"

The adventure was only getting started.

**The Secret of the Magical Space**

The ruins seemed endless, stretching into twisting corridors filled with secrets waiting to be uncovered. Alina, now with Nova curled smugly on her shoulder, led the group deeper into the unknown, half-listening to Rowan's ongoing complaints about how his egg had yet to hatch.

"I swear, this thing better not be some kind of cosmic prank," Rowan muttered. "What if it hatches into something terrifying?"

Cassian smirked. "Knowing your luck, it probably will."

Alina chuckled but soon found her mind drifting elsewhere. A strange familiarity settled over her as they entered a vast chamber lined with shimmering crystals. Something about this place… triggered a memory long buried.

---

**The Past: Awakening the Magical Space**

Before she had become the Alina of today, she had been reborn into this world as a helpless newborn. At first, she thought survival would be her greatest challenge, but then she discovered something else—something far stranger.

The first time it happened, she had only been a child. She remembered the sensation of falling—one moment, she was playing near a river, the next, she had tripped over a root and tumbled into darkness. But instead of hitting the ground, she found herself… *elsewhere.*

A vast, endless space stretched before her, filled with swirling galaxies and floating islands of energy. It was neither warm nor cold, neither welcoming nor forbidding. It simply *was.*

"What is this place?" her younger self had whispered.

A voice had echoed in response—not a living presence, but a lingering consciousness, something ancient and powerful. *This is your domain. Your sanctuary. Your power.*

It had taken her years to understand what that meant. At first, she had assumed it was a dream, an illusion brought on by her young mind trying to cope with the strangeness of her existence. But as time passed, she learned how to access it at will.

The space responded to her thoughts, expanding when she willed it to, shifting to create storage for items, growing plants at impossible speeds, and even allowing her to rest without aging inside. It was her secret weapon, a hidden world within herself.

And now, standing in the crystal-lit ruins, she realized something shocking—the energy here felt *exactly* the same as her magical space.

**The Present: A New Discovery**

Alina's breath hitched. "This place… it's connected to my space."

Zephyr glanced at her. "Your space?"

Cassian frowned. "You're not making sense. Explain."

Rowan, still distracted by his stubborn egg, finally looked up. "Wait. You have some kind of secret dimension? That's *so* unfair."

Alina ignored his dramatics. "It's… complicated. I've had a magical space since I was a child. I never knew where it came from, only that it was mine. But the energy in this place feels exactly the same."

Zephyr studied the crystals. "If that's true, then perhaps this ruin holds more than just history. It may hold answers."

Rowan groaned. "Why does everything we find *have* to hold answers? Why can't it just hold, I don't know, *treasure*?"

At that moment, the floor beneath them shuddered.

Cassian sighed. "You *had* to say something, didn't you?"

A deep rumbling echoed through the chamber, and before anyone could react, the crystal walls split apart—revealing a hidden passage leading even deeper into the unknown.

Alina exchanged glances with the others. "Well, I guess we're going in."

Nova chirped, fluffing up with excitement. Rowan groaned. Zephyr smirked. And Cassian just muttered, "Here we go again."

With that, they stepped forward, ready to face whatever awaited them.
