Lost

She disappeared. We had been talking in the living room when I took two steps forward and then turned on the heel of my foot to ask if she wanted a coffee. In that moment she, and everything around me, vanished and I stood in an alpine meadow; the sun streaming down and burning my skin as the ice-cold air cooled it.

She was gone, and I was lost. Somewhere. This... alien, place. Above me a cerulean sky, cloudless. At my feet, strange flowers nestle amongst all too familiar grass.

Where am I? I am lost without my love.
