The End And A New beginning

I walked slowly to the river's edge, feeling the way the water pulsed beneath the surface. It recognized me now. It knew me. As I knelt, I could see my reflection—eyes glowing faintly with power, my tail still present, shimmering in the moonlight. The energy inside me still burned, restless, eager.

I closed my eyes and reached out, sensing the water like I never had before. I could feel the movement of the currents far beyond this place, and hear the whisper of the ocean calling me from a distance. I belonged to it. And it belonged to me.

The water swirled around my fingers, responding to my touch. It felt alive, more than just an element—it was a force, a connection, a part of me. I let it flow over my hands, feeling the cold embrace of something vast and untamed.

"Sarah?" My mother's voice was soft, uncertain.

I turned to face her. "I don't know what's happening to me."

She knelt beside me, cupping my face in her hands. "You are my daughter. And whatever this is… we'll figure it out together."

I looked past her, seeing William and Daniel standing a few steps away, still cautious, still adjusting to everything they had just witnessed. I wasn't sure if they would ever truly understand what I was. But they were here. And that was enough.

I turned back to the river, dipping my fingers into the water. It curled around my hand, gentle now, welcoming. The power I had once feared no longer felt like a curse. It felt like a gift.

And I was ready to embrace it.
