Slowly through time and a breakup, Nigel falls for his next door neighbor. He’s sweet and smiles every time they pass each other on the stairs and he’s never once judged him for the multiple times he’s found Nigel drunk in the hallway locked out in front of his door. He’s kind, and Nigel thinks he needs a little kind after Wes. He’d love to ask him on a date sometime, the only problem is, he’s in a relationship. Nigel knows this because the walls are thin and every evening Nigel hears his voice, “Honey, I’m home!” and it sounds like disappointment. None of this would be a problem, if Nigel could remember that if he forgets his keys there’s no one at home to let in.
