The time came for me to meet the queen. My hands were sweating, and I could barely stand. A few minutes later, the giant wooden doors opened revealing a long, wide red carpet that led to a couple of stairs which the throne was located. By both sides of the carpet there were people from all over the land and most of them were unfamiliar faces.
I walked through the red carpet, admiring that luxurious throne room, and kneeled down before the stairs. Suddenly, an orchestra of trumpets played announcing the queen's entrance.
She looked rather old. Kind of on her seventies. She had black hair with white meshes, and she carried her hair in a dignified manner. She was dressed in a long red dress with a heart shaped details throughout that exquisite, elegant dress.
"Alice, it has come to my attention that you aren't from Wonderland. You hereby have two options: Find a job and place to stay and gain citizenship in my land or you can return to wherever you are from."
An arrogant and rude queen.
"Your Majesty, with your permission I'd like to gain citizenship in your land."
"Is that so? Then I shall give you one week to find a job and a place to stay, otherwise home you go."
I took my leave. As soon as those giant doors opened again, I saw those twins using striped shirts. They were smiling in a creepy way. I was shaking as they got closer and closer to me. I closed my eyes and opened again, and they were gone.
I didn't know if I was going mad or if they truly exist or if my mind was trying to tell me something…
I started looking for a place to work at. That's when I received an invitation from Ted Martah. Apparently, he was the owner of a hat making cottage.
I started working there, designing hats, and helping Ted sew them. And I'd sleep on the second floor.
