Cafeteria
Jay-jay's POV
"I'll slap you!" I threatened Ci-N after taking the bread that Kit gave me. "Just beg. Greed." He replied and quickly took a bite of the bread before returning it to me. Really crazy!"I don't want it! You've already bitten me!" The young snake smiled broadly. His gums were still showing. It felt like he was enjoying having his teeth pulled out without any anesthesia. "I told you you couldn't stand me." He said and walked out of the room. And because he was carrying food, his fellow Snakes immediately followed him. "Give it! Give it! Don't be stingy!" I heard Eren say before they ran away as if they were chasing a thief outside. I frowned as I looked at them. I ran out of food. Kit still gave it to me. I just went back to Kit and Mayo's place. "Kit... Is there anything else?" I asked with a hint of pity. "I'm so scared." Mayo whispered. Wow. Coming from you. I looked at him with a frown. "Maybe Ci- N took it." I said annoyed. "It's gone, Jay." Kit snapped. "Someone is interfering with something. I'm already being served food." "Well, it probably wasn't me." Mayo replied, looking in the other direction. Kit and I looked at each other before looking at each other in the wrong direction. to him. Kit kicked him hard so he fell off the chair. He also quickly stood up. "You've been kicking me for a while now. I'm already hurting!" Mayo said annoyed. "Do you have a complaint?" Kit's voice was laced with threats. Mayo returned to her chair like a puppy whose master had yelled at her. She was still shaking her head. "Nothing." I was forced to return to my chair and pout. It was lunch break but we still didn't have any food. Eman couldn't cook because she couldn't bring her things into our new classroom. So here we are now, dumbfounded. Kit brought out food earlier but there was only enough for us and Batang Kumag took some. "I'm so hungry." I whispered and leaned over. "I'll buy you some." I heard David say so I looked at him. He rummaged through his bag when I saw him. "Where? In the cafeteria? Are you dreaming of being suspended?" I asked. He put down his bag and faced me. "Rather than getting sick from hunger." He was already holding the wallet and it looked like he really intended to buy me food. I smiled at him. "That's right." "Next time, bury me again. Bury me again." He said. That's why. He'll buy me now so I can bury him next time. This David is different. "It's hard, it's heavy on the bag. Let's ï¬gure out how to get Eman's kitchen in here again." "Yes, Jay-jay is right." Blaster interjected as he hugged Josh's cat, Edy. He even danced with it like a baby being played with. The cat just looked at us while wagging its tail. "Let's just cook the cat. It's a Siopao too." Denzel said and was about to take the cat but Josh immediately shot him. "Don't involve the cat." He said. We watched them argue. I was just wondering about something. "Can cats be in this building?" I asked while pointing at Edy. The heads immediately stopped. They also looked at Josh at the same time who was obviously also thinking about my question. He scratched his head. "I-I know it's really not allowed." He immediately took the cat and went to the window. He opened it and took out the hand holding Edy. We both screamed at the same time when he let it go outside. It was like he let go of a piece of paper. "You're crazy, Josh!" Felix shouted, also surprised by what he did. "Maybe it's the high floor of this room." Josh turned to us as if he had done nothing. "What? It's a cat. It'll land feet ï¬rst." He replied. Good reasoning. "This is your troop, it's a loud knock on the head." Drew said while pointing at Josh. "You're still surprised. You're like that too." Denzel said. I laughed a little at them. I looked at David but I was just as surprised when he was no longer in his seat. He seemed to leave without me noticing. He didn't even say goodbye. I just looked back at the tukmols. They were now arguing about who knocked harder. It even reached the level of the force of the knock . I also can't blame Josh for bringing Edy here. We were used to our old room where everything was allowed because no one orbade it. Their argument was only interrupted when we heard a shrill scream. It got louder and louder so we almost stood up at the same time to watch for whatever it was. Is there a ï¬re? Until Eman entered with a plate of food and a can of coke in hand. Following her was Edrix with a piece of bread in her arms. Rory was carrying a large Fish Cracker. Ci-N entered last, the one who had caused the shrill scream. The bread and bottled coke she was holding were stuck to both cheeks and she was running back and forth in front of us. "CI-N!" I screamed just to make him stop. My ears hurt so much from the loudness and shrillness of his scream. He was even louder than the woman being chased by ten horses or maybe a fangirl who saw her idol. He stopped and looked at us. I thought he was about to speak but he screamed again and kept running. I saw Yuri approaching him. He seemed to be disturbed by his deep thoughts. He picked Ci up by the collar and made her sit down on the chair. "Ouch." He said and sniffed. "Earache." Yuri said and held one ear. "What's wrong with you?" I asked Ci-N and she quickly hugged the one she was holding. "You won't believe it." Eren hissed. "We bought it at the cafeteria." He was bragging. "Enjoy the suspension." Eman said and crossed his arms. "We're not suspended." Edrix said now and was already ï¬ghting over the food he was holding. It was hard to believe. "It's true! That's why we ran back to tell you." Ci-N said. "That's where Calix and Mica are eating. David is also in line to buy." For real? We almost ran out of the room at the same time. It seemed impossible but they managed to buy there. I don't know if the conversation about Section E being banned in the cafeteria was over. Because we were walking together, everyone we met immediately moved aside. We covered the entire street. Until we exited the building, students also moved aside. We stopped almost at the same time in front of the cafeteria door. We even looked at each other. "Who wants to go ï¬rst?" I asked. Suddenly they backed away and I was left alone. I faced them and glared at them. These Ulopongs are animals. "Why me? You guys are cowards." I said annoyed. "You have a backer. So if you get suspended, you can still talk to them . We don't have one." Blaster replied. He had a point. The question was, are you willing to talk to Kuya just so I don't get suspended ? Maybe he'll kick me out and stop me from high school. Then send me to the convent to become a nun. How could that be? I'll burn. Suddenly, Felix grabbed both of my shoulders and forced me to face the cafeteria door. "You can do it, Jay. We believe in you." He said, pushing me further. I almost fell through the door if I hadn't been grabbed immediately. I turned around and looked at him with a bad look, but he just gave me a peace sign . "Ladies ï¬rst." Mayo said and smiled silly. "Ayieh. That's beautiful. She's coming in." Enebe?! I don't know but I suddenly laughed. "Get ready!" I said, almost annoyed. "You want to." Eman added while laughing at me. They continued to tease me, trying to get me to go in. I was forced to go in only for them to stop me. I stepped inside. I expected everyone to look at me and criticize me, especially the Section A students, but nothing happened. I even checked to see if I had entered the right cafeteria. I simply walked through the middle and glanced around at the students. But nothing really changed. They just continued eating, chatting, and walking to their destination. I even saw Calix happily talking to Mica. They were happy. I really didn't understand what was happening. Could it be that I was just dreaming? It seemed so vague that they would suddenly let us enter the cafeteria. Their rules were so strict that we were not allowed here, but then they disappeared like a bubble. Or maybe they had a plan. Maybe they were planning to embarrass us here. Maybe they were thinking of gathering us here and when we were complete, they would pour something on us. AHA! I immediately threw my ï¬sts in the air and kicked a few times. The students looked at me. "AYA!" I shouted. "You can't fool us!" Even though I don't know karate, I will become a karateka. "There she is again." "She's really crazy!" "That's the girl from earlier, isn't she?" I heard the students say after the laughter. I glared at them. "What are you doing?" David asked as he approached me. I ignored him and raised my ï¬st at a man approaching us. He was also carrying soup that I was sure he would throw at David or me. The shock and fear in his expression was obvious so he quickly walked away. I beat you to your plan! "Be alert. Someone will pour something on you later." I said and was about to approach a woman who was looking at me in a bad way but David immediately stopped me. "Stop." He said and grabbed both my arms. "No one will pour anything on me here." "You're crazy. They have a plan that's why they let us into the cafeteria." "And where did you get that idea?" Someone asked. David and I looked at it together. There it is! Could he be carrying my fate? I immediately noticed his eyes looking at me moving to David's hands that were still holding my arms. "Kindly remove your hands off my sister." He said threateningly . He slowly let go of me. I bent down to face my sister. "What was going through your mind and you were so angry? You almost got hit earlier. What if someone got hurt? You were still stunned ." He lectured me. At least no one was hit. "Maybe... I was just getting ahead of myself." I replied and looked at him simply. I noticed his classmates behind him. I didn't know that we were just close to their table. Ella was still shaking her head while watching us. Freya was just smiling at me. "You're being silly. You're not going to do anything." "No way. You don't know." I insisted. His sigh became deep. I knew he was just holding back because he didn't want me to yell at him. He looked at David who was behind me. "You explain to him. I need to leave. I have a lot to do." "Okay." David replied. He turned around and was about to leave but suddenly stopped and aced me again. "If only you could. Don't lose your way on the stairs. You almost got guidance earlier." He chased after her. It turned out that she had already reached him. I was about to explain more but she glared at me so I just kept my mouth shut and simply nodded. One lecture was enough, I might get a look if I overreacted. She continued with her plan to leave. Her classmates were following her , who were clearly teasing me by simply laughing and looking at me. Okay. Teasing me! As soon as they left, the Ulopongs entered. They immediately approached us. "What? What? What exactly? Are you suspended, Jay?" Felix asked. I shook my head. "David has something to explain to us." We all turned to look at David's behavior. He was looking at us with one eyebrow raised . "Let's buy some." He said and lined up to buy some. We immediately followed him. The line was short because there were almost no students. Lunch break was almost over . After buying, we almost ran back to the building at the same time. But I had to slow down because of the amount of stuff I was carrying. I was already out of breath climbing the stairs. I was already old enough to be able to swing my hips. I suddenly envied these Ulopongs. They were so energetic. How could they have that? We were together almost every day but I had never seen those little guys do anything special to get that strong. David and I were almost walking side by side. I don't know if he was deliberately slowing down or if he was just really lazy. Whatever it was, thank goodness I wasn't alone. When we got to the room, the kids had already eaten their food. I even joined the speed contest. I took a deep breath to get rid of my breath. It was exhausting! It was hard without exercise. I approached Yuri's table and put down the food for the two of us. It was a good thing I noticed that he didn't follow us earlier. I didn't know what trip he was on but I knew he was in big trouble. "I sighed." I said after putting down the food I was carrying. "Let's eat." I grabbed a chair to sit on. I pulled it out and brought it to Yuri's table. "Did you buy me too?" He asked, noticing the double portion of ood in front of us. "No. It's all mine. I ate in front of you to make you jealous." I replied and he smiled while shaking his head. "Of course I bought you. It looks like you don't plan on eating." "Because I don't have the appetite." "Hala! Go ahead! Let's eat while we talk. Start the story." I said and started eating but he still didn't move. "Sorry, I can only do so much as eat. The story will be next time." He said and forced a smile. I sighed. I was worried about him but I didn't want to force him. I just let him eat like he said. Since lunch break was almost over, we only ï¬nished eating in a few hours. Of course! They're the ones who are used to it. Because they're starving. Yes, they're the only ones. I felt nauseous after drinking water. I was so full. I was really full from four orders of rice, fried chicken and porkchop, siomai and dumplings, cupcakes and cream puffs. I ate very little . "Bitin." I whispered as if Yuri heard. He almost choked because of the sudden laughter while eating. I looked at him sharply. "Is there anything funny?" He shook his head and continued eating even though he was just laughing. I was even more worried about him. He was laughing for no reason. This was getting worse. I looked at the Snakes who looked energetic again with their antics. They were always making trouble. They still managed to ï¬ght over food even though they still had things in their hands. Nothing had changed. I looked at Blaster because of the trash he was holding. He came to the window and was about to throw what was in his hands there. "Hey! Blaster!" I shouted at him and he immediately turned around. His fellow Ulopongs also looked at him. "You idiot! Don't throw it there!" Denzel said and grabbed his arm to pull him away. "We're not in our old room anymore, there's a trash can everywhere." David said so I looked at him. "Hey David!" I called to him when I remembered that he still had something to explain to us. He looked at me in surprise. "Why?" "What? Explain why we can buy food at the cafeteria again." The Ulopongs' attention was immediately captured by what I said. They all looked at David who was currently looking at me. He even scratched his eyebrows before speaking. "Are we okay?" He asked innocently. He was still talking. I threw the bottle of water I had given him to drink at him and the others did the same to him. He laughed as he was throwing it away. "You don't have any. And you won't have any." Yuri answered David seriously. The other one just raised an eyebrow at him. He flicked his uniform for a moment before talking to us. "Your brother said he felt sorry for you." David began. "He said Eman can't cook anymore so no one will feed you." Ayyeeeiiihhh... Nekeleg nemen eke. "You're still starving. You might just suddenly go crazy here and bite someone." He added. Oh, that's right. I heard his weak laugh so I looked at him evilly. "I don't want to ï¬x it ! What is it?" I asked annoyed. "That's what he said." My brother is ï¬ne too. He really can't stand me being hungry. He probably doesn't want me to lose weight. "That's why he removed the rules we made before?" Yuri asked. "Yes. He said it's up to us if we still apply that rule but he requested Jay-jay to be an exemption." David explained. "Naks! Brother is recovering." Ci-N commented while secretly eeding David food. He was caught so he immediately tasted the slap. He walked away with a frown and came closer to me. "David is ï¬ghting me." He whispered. What a pity. The little boy was being bullied. "Those rules have been tormenting us for a long time. I won't ollow them anymore. Just like that!" Drew said annoyed. "Me too. I've been suffering from hunger for a long time." Blaster added. "Keifer probably doesn't care about those rules anymore." Eren said. "He just did that for Ella." He looked at me with a wry smile. "Well, there's no Ella because there's Jay-jay." Suddenly they all started shouting. They were even louder than the jungle people in shouting. Someone was still banging on the table. Ci-N kept poking me in the side. I just got angry and turned my back on them. Because of that, Yuri's sad eyes were still on my grave. "W-don't pay attention to them." I said and smiled. He tried to return that even though it was obvious that he was having a hard time.
