What's inside
Jay-jay's POV
"WHAT?" Drew shouted right in my face. I immediately slapped him. But David slightly blocked his arm so I couldn't hit him, he probably just snorted at me. "Are Sir Alvin and Ma'am Cindy getting married?" Eren asked tearfully . "Yes, of course. Kulit." I answered annoyed. "NO! THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!" Rory shouted in trouble. "Ma'am and I have a future. It's ruined!" Blaster shouted next. "I still have a crush on Ma'am." Josh said calmly so I barely looked at him. Do you have feelings? I thought he would only be like that until then. If they don't get angry or ï¬ght with me, they'll tease me. She also knows how to like people. She's still human and not a ghost. Eman just scratched her head while watching our classmates freak out because of what they found out. While we were hanging out outside the house, Ma'am Cindy arrived with Yuri but Red Hair Girl was gone. I didn't get to ask where she was because the Ulopongs asked one after another why Ma'am Cindy was here. I answered the truth that Ma'am Cindy and Sir Alvin are married as I found out. They suddenly became angry and obviously didn't accept what I said. They were acting differently. I know they had a crush on Ma'am before. I just entered Section E for the ï¬rst time and I could already feel it. That's why they wanted to go to class with her. But I guess these people were right. "I also have a crush on Ma'am but I'm not like that- OA" Calix said while shaking his head. "Are all my crushes not for me?" Edrix complained. Friend is crazy. "You're crazy..." Rory whispered. "You're crazy." I laughed a little at what he said but I immediately hid my smile when I noticed the way Edrix looked at Rory. He was obviously testing his friend. It's a good thing this one is good at pretending like what he said was nothing. He really needs to be great, we just happened to be together. "Don't worry. I have a crush on Ma'am but I love you more." I heard Mayo say while following Kit who wasn't paying attention to her. "I also have a crush on Ma'am." Ci-N said while raising one hand. "You David? You have a crush on Ma'am too?" Ci and I looked at each other for a moment. "I only have one crush. And I have no plan on adding more." Wow. I wish everyone was loyal to their crush. I can't do that. Imagine my crush on Liempo but my crush on Roasted chicken too, it's hard to choose between them. So to avoid making it difficult for me, I wanted them all. I looked up for a moment when I felt someone grab my waist and pull me slightly. Keifer was looking straight at me while not letting go of his hold on me. I also looked at what he was looking at but all I saw was David looking at our classmates . What's wrong? "When did they get married, Ma'am? No one even noticed. Not even the people at school." Felix asked. "Before they started working at the school. Not sure why they told no one about it, but it would be best if we respect their decisions without asking." Keifer said and I nodded. Ma'am, they have a reason why they didn't reveal their marriage. It would be rude of us to try to ï¬nd out, because they didn't want to let anyone know. They also didn't do anything that would violate their marriage. I haven't heard that Sir has a close relationship with another female teacher. I've seen someone approaching Ma'am Cindy but it's obvious that he's not interested. So I think even though they're secretly married, they don't have any bad intentions. They probably just want to or need to hide it. It seems like a good thing. I bet if the relationship is that secret. It's just painful because you're secretly jealous and also secretly affectionate and ï¬ghting. It's a bit exciting because it's like you're playing hide-and-seek. "No! Ma'am Cindy! Why didn't you wait for me?" Drew shouted and fell to the floor. I winced. He felt like Ma'am would punish him, besides the age difference between them and the fact that he still has a lot of debts. He's paying them off. I suddenly thought of Kwanan. If almost all of our classmates like Ma'am, so can he. He once praised Ma'am in ront of me, back when I ï¬rst joined our Section. It's clear that he also has a type for her. "Keifer." I called seriously. "Is Ma'am your type too?" He shook his head quickly but Ci-N answered for him. "Yes, he typed Ma'am." Ci replied innocently. " He even has a picture of Ma'am on his cellphone." Oh great. I didn't take my eyes off Keifer. "Liar." He shook his head again. I wish your neck would break if you shook it. Someone else would admit to his foolishness. "I-It's not what you think." he said hesitantly. "Yes, I do have a picture of her but that's for contact purposes." Why is that necessary? Is it important to have a photo in contacts? "Your contact ace." I interrupted followed by a glare. "For real, I add photos on contact information." he added. "Of course so you can answer quickly." I said and I saw his reaction as if he had been caught in the act of doing wonders. "You see you can't answer." He tried to grab my hand but I backed away and swatted my hands away. I also heard David and Felix laughing softly as they watched us. "Don't think it like that. You all have a picture in my contacts before I changed my phone." He explained. "I don't." David interjected, making Keifer look at him evilly. Stupid!! I'm telling you, there's really something wrong with Ma'am. After all, I can't blame her. Ma'am is beautiful and has a curvy body. She's obviously smart and sassy, like an action woman. She can also keep up with the students so I've never seen her get angry with us. Who am I? My appearance is embarrassing, I'm obviously lazy to groom myself. I'm lazy to comb my hair and haven't even put on powder or lip tint. Even though I'm in uniform, I'm not dressed properly. Add to that I'm greedy and have a big belly. Above all, my intelligence is not obvious, it's hidden. Right? What's wrong with Ma'am Cindy, who everyone admires. Oh, that's right. "There you are." I pushed her away in annoyance. "Go see your Ma'am Cindy." The lightning kept sending and receiving islands. Your island is yours, you idiot! The maid was still worried because I had been spying on the shooters and then there was a photo hidden. "She's not my Ma'am Cindy. She belongs to Sir Alvin." I was about to scold her but the door of the house opened and Sir Alvin came out. We all walked towards her. Even the Ulopongs who had been running away earlier because of what they had found out. "I appreciate that the whole section came here but I'll be honest with you, I don't like the idea that my address or house is being exposed to the public. So if possible, I hope this doesn't reach anyone else." he explained as Sir Alvin we were facing at school. "Your address is safe with us." David replied and Sir nodded. "We're good at keeping secrets. It's like you're just hiding Ma'am Cindy's status." Blaster said and I almost slapped my orehead. He was even more sly in his tone. Maybe she's just a student of Sir and she feels like she's part of their love life. "Don't worry, we're not traitors, not like you, Sir." Drew said. Here's another one. "Do you know how cute you are, Sir? Just a hug, on the neck." Eren said and Calix almost hit him. Sir laughed a little while shaking his head. "Just a snack right there. Let's go back there, Ma'am prepared a snack." "You can't pass us by for a snack." Edrix replied but he was already walking into the house. "What's that plastic thing, Rix?" asked Rory who was right behind him. The other Ulopongs also entered and so did we. I looked at Sir for a moment and noticed that he was looking away outside. It was as if he was checking to see if there was anyone in the distance or watching us. I just ignored it because he said he didn't want the public to know about their house. Maybe they were hiding a debt. They all went straight outside where Kuya Angelo had gone earlier to talk. Eman and David went straight to the kitchen to help Ma'am Cindy. I was about to follow them when I saw Yuri organizing the things. Kuya and I talked for a moment but when she saw me, she immediately turned around and walked outside to where Sir Alvin was. I just shrugged at her action. I approached Yuri to help. "It's a good thing you still have some of your things left." I said and picked up a bag from the floor. "I'll help you." She smiled at me. "Thank you. Actually, I was already moving when they came to the house." She was referring to the people who had entered their house . "I'm also having a hard time with the location of the house." Is that why her room was empty? But she said earlier, thieves had entered their house. Maybe they were moving when they thought they were going to rob her so she still saved her things. "Where is Red Hair Girl?" I asked before picking up some boxes and envelopes from the floor. "We left him in the City. He can't be here." he waved his hand before starting to walk to the second floor of the house. I followed him with my hands in mine. "It's good that he agreed." I heard his soft laughter. "Maybe you should just ask Ma'am Cindy how she did it." I was about to ask why but I was stopped in front of a room. The door was open and I could clearly see Keiren sleeping soundly. He was still wearing pajamas and a white shirt while hugging a mushroom pillow. This kid was cute too. Just sleeping. That kid could have been stabbed in the chest. He looks like Keifer when I was new to our section. I hope his attitude changes as he gets older. I think it will be difficult for him to get a girlfriend. I went back to following Yuri. He opened the door to a room and went in. I quickly followed him. "Please come down here, Jay. I'll clean up later." he ordered and I did. He turned his back on me to go back to the other things he had left near the living room. While I was putting down my things, the envelopes and papers accidentally fell on top of the box I was carrying. The contents flew out and I quickly picked them up. I was stunned when I saw a familiar envelope. It was like the one Yuri and Freya were ï¬ghting over when we were in the hospital and Grace gave birth. I bit my lower lip hard. I shouldn't have interfered but when I saw the contents scattered there, I couldn't help myself. I quickly picked them up and looked at them. I was just as surprised when a paper with a photo of a man appeared. It also had a big red circle mark on it. I couldn't read anything because the writing was blurry. I didn't like the look of the man in the photo. It was clear that he wasn't a good person and did n't seem to do good to others. I looked down when I noticed the burn mark. I looked at the other paper and was stunned when I saw Sato's face that had kidnapped us before. Like earlier, there was also a red circle mark. I was starting to wonder what the circle mark was for. I put the papers back inside the envelope because Yuri might have arrived. I put it back on top of the box. It was just in time because Yuri suddenly entered the room with the rest of his things. "This is all, I'll ï¬x it later." he said as he lowered his hand from the bed. "S-okay. Let's go downstairs." I said and he nodded. He turned his back on me and that's how big my eyes widened when I saw a paper at the foot of the bed. I immediately looked away so Yuri wouldn't notice what I was looking at. He walked ï¬rst and I followed. I couldn't get the paper out of my mind. Yuri would know that I had tampered with his things. He might think I was trying to tell him ï¬rst. I was annoyed, I was being too intrusive. I looked into the room where Keiren was. I immediately thought of what to do. "Yuri, you go downstairs ï¬rst." I said and he stopped to face me. "I'll just check on Keiren for a moment." He glanced around the room before nodding. "Hurry up or you'll run out." He smiled before walking away. I waited for him to go downstairs before I quickly returned to the room. I immediately took the paper but was stunned when I saw the photo attached. "K-Keifer?" I asked almost in a whisper. There was no circle mark but there were a few English words so I could clearly see the details. Keifer's full name, address, number and other personal details. But I couldn't read anything else besides that because it was back to the nihonggo. I couldn't help but feel nervous. Why is Keifer's face and name here ? Why isn't there a circle? It's with another piece of paper in the envelope, but what is it for ? I really want to know the rest of what's written. I can't rest until I get an answer. Study nihonggo. It'll take too long if I do that. I could only think of one way, to have someone else read what was written. Besides Yuri, the only person I could think of who could read it was Ma'am Cindy. I folded the paper and hid it in my clothes. I ran out of the room and went down the stairs. I went to the kitchen ï¬rst but there was no one there so I went out to where the others were. I wasn't wrong because Ma'am was with them. "Jay-Jay!" Ci called to me. "Snack time!" I forced a smile and tried to shake off the eeling of dread I was feeling. "Maybe you've exhausted me." I pretended to be joking. But it looked like they had exhausted me. "Jay's gone. You've been waiting." Eman said. "Did you go to Keiren?" the King of Snakes asked me. I couldn't hide my nervousness as I looked at him. I felt sweat dripping down my face. I quickly wiped it off and nodded in answer to his question. "Yes, he's still asleep so I let him go for now." He briefly examined my face. It was as if she sensed my discomfort. "You stayed up late, played PlayStation until dawn." Ma'am Cindy said, so she grabbed our attention. " There's still some snacks, grab some so you don't run out." I nodded. "Okay." "I'll come with you." She offered before walking into the house. This was a good opportunity or me to read the paper I was hiding to her. I followed her silently. My steps were still long just to make sure I could catch up with her quickly. After entering the house, we headed straight to the kitchen. Without further ado, I took the paper and quickly handed it to her. "Ma'am, I need your help. Can you read this for me?" my tone was mixed with a plea. Her eyebrows raised but she still took what I was holding. Her steady expression gradually lost expression. "Where did you get this?" her tone was mixed with anger. I was about to open my mouth to answer but I immediately shut it. My gut feeling about the paper wasn't good. My suspicion only grew stronger because of her reaction. If it was written badly, Yuri and Keifer would be in trouble. Ma'am can't know and she might not tell me the truth either. "Can you just tell me what it's for?" My hand was shaking as I tried to hide it. I silently prayed that I was wrong about the paper. What is it about, Yuri? "Answer me ï¬rst." she insisted. "I-I can't just say it." I stubbornly said. " Just tell me what's on the paper." "You don't understandâ€"." "You're the one who understands me. I'm nervous because it has Keifer's face and details on it. That's why I need to know what's on it because maybe that's what it's for." I stopped myself from raising my voice even though I wanted to scream. I tried to calm down but I knew that there was a trace of the fear I felt in my voice. I won't get the answer if I just rush. I just have to force Ma'am to tell me the contents of the paper. "Okay, I'll tell you but show me who or where you got this paper from." I clenched my ï¬st before nodding in agreement with what she said. I really wanted to know. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the kitchen door that led straight out of the house. She stopped not far from the door. She looked around before approaching me and whispering. "This..." she pointed to the paper and held it up to my face. "...a list of those to be killed." I covered my mouth in shock. I couldn't even speak. "It doesn't say who it's from but it says that she can choose the price for the job." I was stunned. I couldn't process Ma'am's words. Keifer was listed to be killed. But why? Who wants it? And what confused me even more was why Yuri had the list. Yuri... What if....no. Impossible. I shouldn't blame her. They've been friends for a long time and they've been through a lot so I'm confused. It could also be that this isn't really for her. Maybe she was just being held or hidden. My mind went back to Sato and what she did to us back then. She told me she committed suicide. But why is she also on the list like Keifer? I'm confused. Yuri isn't like that. "Tell me where you got this?" Ma'am insisted. I stared at Ma'am. She can't possibly know that it came from Yuri or her stuff. What if she reports it and causes trouble? She already has too many problems and I don't want to add to them. Maybe later I'll be wrong and my interference will be the trigger for her disaster. "I-I picked it up outside earlier... It's in Yuri's building." I excused myself but she didn't seem to accept my answer. "Listen here Ms. Mariano. This is a matter between life and death." He faced me with the paper. "Tell me the truth so we can ï¬nd out who has plans for Watson." I immediately took the paper and crumpled it before hiding it in my pocket. He looked at me evilly and was about to snatch the paper but we heard Sir Alvin's voice. "Cindy? Mariano? What are you doing outside?" he asked us. "Nothing." I quickly answered before entering the house. I didn't hear a word from them but I knew Ma'am Cindy wouldn't hide what we talked about with Sir Alvin. I need to make sure they don't ï¬nd out who I got the paper from. I don't want Keifer to get hurt but I also don't want that to happen to Yuri. How can I help them?
