Requiem of the Forgotten Realm

Jin-Won barely had time to steady his breath before another creature lunged at him. He twisted his body, raising his sword just in time to deflect the blow. The impact sent a jolt through his arms, but he gritted his teeth and swung back, slicing through the creature's chest.

Hori grabbed a rusted metal pipe from the ground, swinging wildly at an approaching beast. "Damn it! There's too many!" he shouted.

Another system notification flickered in the air.

Ten minutes? It felt like an eternity in this nightmare.

Jin-Won's eyes darted around, searching for an advantage. The creatures were fast, but they relied on sheer aggression rather than strategy. If they could funnel them into a narrow path…

"There!" he pointed toward a collapsed archway. "We can bottleneck them!"

The group sprinted, narrowly dodging attacks as they took position behind the broken stone. The creatures followed, piling into the tight space, making it easier to strike them down one by one.

Minutes stretched like hours, but finally, a new message appeared.

Jin-Won exhaled sharply, gripping his sword. This wasn't over.

Before they could recover, a sudden gust of wind swept through the ruins. A shadowed figure stood atop a broken tower, cloak billowing as they observed the battle below.

Then, with inhuman speed, the figure leapt down, landing gracefully before them.

The stranger's eyes glowed faintly beneath their hood. They raised a hand, and in an instant, a black-bladed spear materialized in their grip.

Jin-Won watched in shock as the stranger tore through the remaining creatures with precise, effortless strikes. Each movement was calculated, deadly. Within seconds, the battlefield was silent.

The figure turned to them. "You're new here," they said, voice calm but firm. "If you want to live, you'll follow me."

Jin-Won hesitated, but he knew one thing—whoever this person was, they were their best chance at surviving this world.
