Jin-Won's heart pounded as he stepped closer to the portal. The voice—Si-Yeon's voice—echoed again, faint but desperate.
"Help me… please…"
Hori placed a firm hand on Jin-Won's shoulder. "Are you sure about this? We don't know what's on the other side."
Jin-Won clenched his fists. "We don't have a choice. She's in there."
Without another word, he stepped forward, letting the strange energy of the portal engulf him.
The moment he crossed the threshold, the world around him twisted into a storm of swirling colors and fractured images—memories, emotions, fragments of time itself.
Then, suddenly, silence.
Jin-Won found himself standing in a vast, endless void. A sky of deep violet stretched infinitely above him, and beneath his feet, a reflective surface rippled like liquid glass.
Ahead, a single figure stood—Si-Yeon Park.
But something was wrong.
Her eyes glowed unnaturally, and a dark mist swirled around her form. Chains of pure shadow coiled around her wrists and ankles, binding her in place.
"Jin-Won…" Her voice trembled, her gaze filled with both recognition and fear. "You shouldn't be here…"
A chilling laugh echoed around them.
"Ah… so you came after all."
Jin-Won's breath caught in his throat as another figure emerged from the darkness. A towering presence, clad in jagged armor, its face hidden beneath a mask of pure void.
Hori, who had just stepped through the portal behind Jin-Won, gritted his teeth. "Who the hell is that?"
The figure tilted its head slightly, as if amused. "I am the one who has been waiting… the one who has been watching… the one who will decide your fate."
Jin-Won raised his sword. "If you're the one who took her, then you already know what happens next."
The figure chuckled, its voice reverberating through the void. "Oh, I do."
The air trembled.
"And that's exactly why you will lose."
Without warning, the entity lunged forward, its blade of darkness clashing against Jin-Won's in a shockwave of raw power.
The battle for Si-Yeon's soul had begun.
