Jin-Won hesitated for a moment before reaching for the door. When he swung it open, Hori barged in, his expression a mix of excitement and panic.
"Dude, tell me you're seeing this too!" Hori waved his hands wildly, pointing at the blue screen hovering in the air beside him.
Jin-Won's eyes darted to the interface. The same mysterious system was still active.
[ Synchronization Complete ]
[ Player: Jin-Won | Level: ??? ]
[ Special Status: Dimensional Traveler ]
"Synchronization?" Jin-Won muttered, trying to make sense of it.
Before they could process further, Lyria's voice echoed from the phone Jin-Won was still holding.
"Jin-Won! Hori! Are you two okay?"
Jin-Won placed the phone on speaker. "Lyria… where are you?"
"In my room. Or at least… I think it's my room? But I can still see my status window! And… I don't think we're in a normal world anymore."
Jin-Won exchanged glances with Hori, his mind racing.
If the system was still functioning, and Lyria, Si-Yeon, and the others were still connected to it… then this wasn't just their old world anymore.
A new notification appeared.
[ World Fusion in Progress… 45% ]
Jin-Won's breath hitched. Fusion?
"What… the hell is happening?" he whispered.
Then, outside the window, something shifted.
The city skyline flickered—buildings distorting, warping, changing. Roads stretched unnaturally, and unfamiliar structures emerged in the distance.
And in the sky… a massive floating fortress loomed above, casting a shadow over the entire city.
Hori swallowed hard. "Uh… yeah. I think we really messed with something big."
Jin-Won clenched his fists. This wasn't just a return.
This was something else entirely.
