The academy's testing arena was packed. Students filled the stands, eager to see how the Ranking Trials would unfold.
Miss Ananya and Principal Basanta Kutum stood at the center of the massive hall, their expressions unreadable.
"Let the Ranking Trials begin."
A large digital screen in the air flickered to life, showing the names of every participant.
The tests :
Aura Synchronization Test – Measuring the depth and resonance of one's aura.
Everyone knew the ranking would be brutal.
Only five S-Ranks would remain.
But no one expected what was about to happen.
Phase One: The Aura Synchronization Test
Each student was required to stand inside a resonance field, a high-tech platform that measured the quality, density, and power of their aura.
The screen displayed four possible results:
C-Rank → Weak aura flow.
B-Rank → Stable aura, but limited potential.
A-Rank → Strong aura with powerful output.
S-Rank → Elite-tier resonance.
All the students were called up and then many were S Rank students.
Mri stepped onto the platform.
He closed his eyes. Focused.
The machine whirred to life, scanning his energy.
The screen glowed yellow(Mri's aura)
Then suddenly—
BZZZZZT.
The machine glitched. The power readings spiked uncontrollably.
"Warning! Unstable energy detected!" the automated system blared.
Everyone stared in shock as the screen flashed an unknown rank.
Then it settled.
A new rank appeared.
SS-RANK.
Silence.
A moment passed.
Then the entire arena exploded in noise.
"What the hell?!" someone shouted.
"SS-Rank?! That was just a legend!"
Even Miss Ananya's sharp demeanor cracked for a split second.
Principal Basanta Kutum's eyes narrowed slightly. For the first time, he looked interested.
Mri stepped off the platform, completely calm.
He knew it.
He had always known.
Reactions & Consequences
Jasmine's mouth was slightly open. "You bastard, what are you?"
Ayang was stunned but grinned. He had always believed in Mri.
Shahid Morang clenched his fists, his ego taking a hit. "Tch… I won't accept this."
Tanuja's expression remained neutral, but her respect for Mri had just grown.
The entire academy was in chaos.
But Mri didn't care.
He looked straight at Principal Basanta.
And for a brief moment, Basanta looked back with something almost like amusement.
He had been hiding his strength, but Mri could see through it.
This event…
This academy…
This was only the beginning.
