Trouble at School

The next day was a school day, and Jake was dreading it. Math class was a nightmare. He sat at his desk, staring at the multiplication problems, hoping they would magically solve themselves.

Mrs. Carter, his teacher, walked over. "Need help, Jake?"

He sighed. "Numbers are like… a secret code I can't crack."

She smiled. "Think of them like clues. If you break them down, they start making sense."

With her help, Jake finally understood the problems. By lunchtime, he felt a little more confident.

"Math isn't so bad," he admitted to Noah and Lily. "It's just another mystery to solve."
